Yeah Icky getting hurt really messes with what we need to do. I think we could go OT this draft as a result of that injury. But we have cap space and I have enough trust in the FO to fill the holes prior to the draft at this point.

I dont think he was ever sold as a offensive genius. He was sold as the QB 'fixer'. I would say that the jury is still out on that. He has this next year to make BY a top 15 QB. If he does that then I think he earns that title considering that last year BY was talked about being the biggest draft bust ever.

I also live in Canada.. so I have no affiliation to the team. My son is 12 and has never seen the Panther's be anything other than the worst team. So this year was super exciting. Beating Green Bay, the Falcons 2x and The Rams.. and NOW being able to say we are in the playoffs.. I dont care what the score is.. its just great to be playing January football!

Im not going to blame JC. He ALMOST intercepted the ball on that play as well. He is one of the best DB's we have ever had. I would like to see him shadow their best WR more often but thats a scheme thing thats not on him. I trust him in the biggest moments.

Yeah.. I have been holding out hope. I watched QB1 and was very impressed with him. He has always been an undersized high school kid that has excelled everywhere he has played... but the NFL is a grown man's sport. To me its clear.. despite holding out hope, that BY is not the guy.

XL was mostly absent from TV tape. We cannot count on him as more than a 3-4 at this point.. Honestly I would give more snaps to Horn JR at this point.

I see the logic in that. I would also be ok with not extending him and make next year a prove it year. If he 'proves it' then he gets paid a year earlier. That said, BY and his agent might not play on the last year of their deal.. but I dont think BY has that leverage.

The Burns contract is this exact situation. His age and position required top of the market contract. Yet we all knew he was not playing to that. So we let him go and het got that elsewhere. But now as the GM you need to fill that void... and you better not fug it up. BY will be the same situation on repeat... There is no option for a middle tier QB contract. Walk or sign for big money.. but keep in mind, We all said Darnold sucked. We all said Baker sucked. What are you going to do...
