No doubt Canales has an advantage over Reich situationally. He has all the tape on Bryce playing against NFL defenses. Reich did not. They have all the advantage in that regard. and though I am not in the hugest hurry to make the call on him and am resigned to losing in that process, I could have passed on this whole ordeal.

At some point he should be able to play his way out of the job. I feel like the only real path he has is to backup someone for a year while he learns how to drop back and throw the ball like an NFL QB. He does not have the jets to run around and do yard ball.

Sorry, disagree. For this reason: they starved the defense half to death the last couple of years, while seriously indulging the offense. Not saying they looked anything but sorry in most places but that offense, with that investment? I gotta ding the offense harder.

He should have been working a couple of hours at least, daily, to rehab his mechanics. Take your few weeks to chill and get to work.
