  1. I loved him at first. DT had been a black hole and he double dipped two good ones But he lost me with some of his stupid poo like thinking a converted DL would be his LOT and some other stuff.
  2. Nobody’s getting crowned. This week should be a good test.
  3. Short fields limit yards. But 19 rushing in 4 qtrs is just not done. Ans there are likely teams up there that had a bye so maybe in reality we are a notch or two higher. All it means is we have improved. Which eyeballs can tell you. Like was said we have some tough tests ahead.
  4. Internet says Shaq made 72mil in his career. And I wonder if he paid 10 for it. Maybe it has appreciated. Screw those property taxes on 10 mil. I can’t make them on a $750 k property without straining hard
  5. I didn’t realize that. Cool. Even if the sacks are slow it is still really important to do that.
  6. To be fair it was acknowledged that they were bringing DB back slowly and what I read said the plan had been the 1st 4 games. Can’t remember where I saw that it may have been Persons, I read the Athletic. But I saw it a couple of days after I speculated that was what was going on.
  7. I think about those drat ratings. He is between above average starter and average starter. Closer to above average. He was above average some years.
  8. Well I don’t know about being the 12th best in the league it says we have given up the 12th fewest yards. But they have been better than last. 19 yards rushing A shutout. Couldn’t sniff that last year.
  9. And it wasn’t really that it was more Morgan centered than anything. shotgun I think Tepper had a non specific but huge influence over the 2024 draft and already said stuff about that but it really feels like he let the employees do their work in 2025.
  10. You seem to be unable to understand that your whining about it just turns it right back into a Bryce referendum.
  11. Link doesn’t work for me for whatever reason but the ‘um’ tells me it is about Bryce. What annoys me is his pattern is to pronounce the ‘um’ with more emphasis. He is going along at certain level and it spikes when he says ‘um’ and then back to the previous level. And he says it every few words.
  12. That’s right. I was too exhausted to come back and specify. The Bryce investment permeated every aspect of this team and it is difficult to have any discussion without that being at least tangental to the practically any team related topic. I mean he is always lurking in the background.
  13. First I heard of that, I would have liked him even less. He was a scout himself. I think Marty would have listened to the scouts. the thing that got me about his big catch radius and height obsession was the height, he chased that because Cam was sailing some throws and he wanted taller WRs. Remaining blind to the fact that the ball would be high relative to the aim point. A higher aim point doesn’t help you there. You’d have to be pretending you were throwing to Smitty all the time for that to work.
  14. It’s that psychology environment he was raised in. I say that with half snark and half sincerity.
  15. Who can tell about some of their grades. They apparently downgraded Dowdle because his OL blocked well for him.
  16. You couldn’t be more right about that. It is also why the early season football stinks.
  17. And now it is about the analytics guy. So are you making back into a Bryce thread?
  18. No one is eliminated yet. But some are in a race to the bottom, it is too early to call that one too. Where are we headed? Are the Ravens really gonna bottom out all year? would you really say they are in that race to the bottom? The race really hasn’t started is more my angle.
  19. Technically sure we are in the race but everyone else is too. Will there even be a real race between us and TB - because a wild card coming from the NFCS seems unlikely. I wonder if the head dudes really believe we have a shot or are we in a developmental year. And that evaluation is sort of fluid at this early stage.
  20. I think less for the top round people, everyone knows who they are and the GMs go in person to their pro days and stuff. And in Marty’s case specifically he didn’t come up as a scout, he moved from the newspaper office to the NFL front office, in contrast with a guy like Gettleman who came up the scout ladder. The sheer volume of players when you get into the 3rd day and undrafted, I’d be leaning on them for a lot of help. I am curious about it how that really works after they submit their reports and it gets into narrowing the players down to a smaller group.
