You are preaching to the choir on this one Frank. I have been in a really bad fan mood since they did the deed, because I saw years of this coming, which did come, and because of all the mass hysteria along the way whenever he doesn’t fail. It is like TDS but in reverse.

He is what he is, the ‘dog’ kicker was Tepper. And my dog has been being kicked hard the last three seasons. Bryce seems to be a real good kid with a great heart and some attitudes that, if he were in an NFL QB’s body, would take him far. But he isn’t in an NFL QB’s body and that is the rub. We don’t want three more years of dog kicking.

I think some of those are coming, but don’t expect consistency. I think it will be kind of like when Wilks was here at best: beat the teams you should beat, still get your ass kicked by the good ones. You might be able to win some games with him if you can get games like today with no turnovers and everything else working, all three phases.

Who would that be? I didn’t see one. Don’t get me all wrong here, I enjoyed the winning for once and I am not going around calling Young out unprovoked but this is the kind of fantasy post that will instigate that type of response. He proved nothing along those lines today IMO. Maybe he yet will, but today wasn’t proof of it.

If you are an embattled HC and your org wants you to deal with a new draft pick at QB, you may as well quit if they don’t give you some believable assurances that they won’t hold the growing pains against you. They gave him a QB placeholder that really offers little hope, they should be hands off while this plays out.

And since then it seems he has coasted more in the regular season, and still turned it on in crunch time. I think he could still do that but do they have enough on offense to make it that far?

They are the least of Your worries, people on the team want to win. You have to allow for a winning culture to have an opportunity, if you are the person responsible for creating it. Edit: And I say this as a person who wants no part of Bryce Young going forward.

Pretty fair assessment overall. I can’t say a lot since I didn’t watch but going by the comments I am betting he (Canales) was very conservative and a large reason would be to prevent Bryce giving it away half the day.

Meaning he wasn’t cut. No big deal to me, they remember things in a way that helps them compete. He should have stayed above the public ‘he said she said’ type situation he invited with those comments. But, no big deal in the big picture.

It seems like Mayfield rehabbed his image in that time in LA and I thought Wilks allowed that to happen. Who knows though.

I didn’t see the game but I caught a little on the radio. I saw that 0 though lol. I love watching a good defense, and miss us having a good one. This was great. PS: I think T Mac’s time will come. The situational and strategic flow of the game goes where it goes. Today it went elsewhere.

You can win with that if you have a strong defense. You can’t play that way when you spot the other team a TD or two. Think they would let us play the Falcons every week?

That’s right. And if we do not cheer and enthusiastically support their participation trophy level losing efforts then we are bad fans.

If they run too fast they will take themselves out of range. It’s a challenge.

I watch when I expect a loss. Which is basically every game for the last 3 seasons. I did quit watching most games live. That’s an NFL thing though not so much Panthers. But I absolutely will no longer block out Sunday afternoon for them after Young lived down to my expectations. Just so pissed off at the organization over making us horrible for years.

I think when Coker comes back you might see a mini resurgence. This week it is the Falcons’ game to lose.

I never looked at 3rd round prospects that year.Used to, but man it is time consuming. But lots of people knew it, I remember the draft night reaction. And the org took him because? They didn’t see it? I looked at the QBs in 2023 because of the magnitude of the decision and because it was a lock we were taking QB. Well I saw it probably inside of a half hour of clips. Significant issues. Plenty of people saw it too. But the fuging team didn’t? The thing with everyone bagging on the scouts… I don’t think they picked Bryce, I don’t think they picked DJ Johnson. I don’t know what they do anymore. Gatekeep who gets past them to the real decision makers?

An issue might be are the players they playing with and against, good enough to support that kind of development. But the NFL needs a minor league of some kind. The talent coming up isn’t really playing the NFL game and the NFL has bent towards the college game. For a while now.
