That is how I remember it too. It was similar to how people portray Bryce in 2026 without his option picked up. I mean people didn’t think it was gonna be peaches and cream with Cam on an expiring contract, same as they are predicting for Bryce. IIRC the impression I got was Cam was not gonna be happy and if Cam ain’t happy nobody’s happy, to borrow a cliché from mama. It isn’t like Bryce because Bryce is the same Bryce, but Cam was not the same Cam. You cannot overlook that but I felt like his attitude was he expected the team to do business as usual. Not to acknowledge the fact that he was physically different and have that reflected in a new valuation. Which I don’t know how that was supposed to work out..

Yeah we all want to have the best. You are honest about it. Cam had his faults but man did he have the tools covered. I would happily settle for a guy in the Jake mold for a few seasons. He had NFL level tools. Not top level but we weren’t super constrained by his limitations and he made his teammates better and they also made him better. We had a fighting chance with him. Matching his will to win would be harder than matching his tools. But we don’t have to have the best for things to potentially be a lot better. IMO anyway.

How does anything improve bringing Bryce back? You think he can get better? He has had three years and is pretty much below sea level with the annual Falcon bump. What is there for him to improve, that he has shown he can improve? Something he can control. What I usually hear is improve the people around him, and if that is the case I say we could do that with a better QB.

He showed right away. Physically including passing the football there was no doubt from the start. And we are told not to want that because it is so rare. Yeah okay but I see that ball flight in my head and 85% of that would be more than enough. We should want that and not be sorry for it.

Man I quit watching last year basically because I said I would if they stuck with him. This happened with people slurping him before that last probably two maybe three games. When we won vs NYG and he had basically done nothing but everyone wanted to give him credit for whatever that was. I didn’t see the point of hanging. People didn’t want to know. Then he had that Atlanta finish and I thought well, that is something, but I wasn’t signing in to comment. I just don’t know what they are looking at. Is he blowing them?

I was really going off of what I saw in Tampa. And with Andy a little. Can’t do that with Young.
