I think it'll be someone like Jimmy G. If the Browns want to move Baker I think he's have enough sway and options available to steer his way clear of this dumpster fire.
-
Unfortunately, this seems by far the most likely scenario. Except I think Fitts and Rhule are going to eat up a significant chunk of that cap space with desperation quick fix bandaid solutions. If their hands aren't tied on trading future picks that's gonna happen too.

I predicted weeks ago that we'd end up with Jimmy G at QB next season and some washed up retread "name" at OC like Jason Garrett who already has one foot out the door and will use Tepper for what amounts to a severance check on his way to retirement from coaching.
-
When Tepper boastfully proclaimed that he wouldn't be settling for mediocrity, dumb old me just assumed that he was shooting for the top not the bottom. Four years into the Tepper era experiencing four straight losing seasons and three straight seasons managing only five meager wins, here I sit kinda longing for mediocrity again. The Panthers were always a mediocre franchise, but we DID have occasional success. Any hint of fleeting success seems too far distant to imagine currently.

Dak is like Romo never retired. They're practically the same player. Pile up stats against bad opponents, struggle against better opponents, choke in the playoffs.

Cool. Another year of Darnold. 6-11 next year. Another top 10 but not quite top 5 pick.

As frustrated as I've been as a fan, I can't ever imagine actually throwing things at players. Ours or opposing. Just trash ass people.

They've made his style of safety play essentially illegal. Without being able to lay the hammer he'd be a liability. Grant and Minter made a nice pair of complimentary safeties. We really could use a legit over the top FA to free up Chinn to work underneath. Then again, this roster could use a LOT.
-
And Mike Minter would be a liability in today's game. Deon Grant is the only decent true FS we've ever had and we didn't even bother signing him to a second contract.
-
I know I'm checked out because I honestly don't care about FA. Or the draft for that matter. It just feels like Tepper has ran this franchise completely into the ground.
-
A lot to very little.

They're just taking inspiration from their QB. They watch him throw trash all game long and think that's just what a Cowboy is supposed to do.

He just doesn't get it. It's probably why he couldn't beat any actually good teams in college either.

One competitive football game all weekend and even that game really didn't feel anywhere as close as the scoreboard reflected.

It's just selfishness. I'm a hiker. I'm a trout fisherman. I'm a mountain biker. I'm a Jeeper. There are TONS of trails for hikers. Don't fight the other users for the few trails available to them. There's way more MTB trails available than Jeep trails. Don't fight the other users for the few trails available to them. Hell, even up at Brown Mountain. The dirtbikers and ATV riders get all pissy about the Jeeps on trail 1. Guys, y'all have an entire mountain of trail system available to you. The Jeeps have THIS trail. Deal with it. I was a chapter president of Trout Unlimited and told them to go fug themselves forever over Tellico. There were plans in place to address erosion concerns TU wanted to hear none of it. They wanted it shutdown. Period. Nothing less. fug TU for that. Forever. They shutdown the last legit hardcore public Jeep trail system on the entire east coast. I used to tell mountain bikers in CO to chill with trying to boot the dirtbikes. I get it, they're annoying when you're hiking or biking. Whatever. There's WAY more trails available for hiking and mountain biking than there is for dirtbiking. If you really don't want to deal with them simply avoid those trails. This is what you have to understand - you're an ally of convenience at the moment. The hikers don't want you there either. You're annoying to them too. You're just less annoying than the dirtbikes. Get the dirtbikes banned and they'll come for your access next.

It's pick your poison vs. KC. You better come ready and able to put up some pretty serious points yourself.
-
Well, the Steelers hung tough for a little while. They're just outgunned by a pretty wide margin tonight.
-
It really is. Just having miles and miles of trails. Being able to take a Jeep trail for 20 miles and come out in a completely different part of the state that would take you 3-4 hours to get to by highway. There's just nothing like that back east. There could be. There's ton of old logging trails out there that could be made rideable/drivable without a ton of work. But good freaking luck trying to get new trails opened these days. We're fighting like hell just trying to hang onto what we have (and that's true out west too, that part is no different).

The same thing that caused us to play our best football early last year. The more film you get on us, the worse we are because we have a limited (college) coaching staff. Once there's ample film out there on us we're hamstrung. The same thing at QB. The more film there is on a QB within a system the harder it gets. When you're limited at QB it's gonna be hard to keep things rolling. It's why lots of backup QBs can look good for short periods but then fall off hard if they're asked to play several games.

Kelce is like Greg Olsen plus legit YAC ability. Dude is great.

I used to be all over Brown Mountain back in my younger days. After living out west so long it just seems boring these days. I hate like hell Tellico got shut down. That was the one spot back east that could hold its own with anywhere out west in terms of trail difficulty. We'll ultimately buy a cabin in SW Colorado or maybe SE Utah just because it'd probably be a helluva lot cheaper but I'm not sure I'll ever relocate back out there full time with family aging, etc.

Yeah, I can handle the enclosure part but I'd need to hire out the electrical. I'd run it on it's own panel. My main panel is just about maxed out as is. Pretty sure it will be once I get the 220 wired in for the hot tub. I'd like to plumb it for a utility sink too. Pretty sure it'd be plenty doable. The septic is within 30' or so and the master bath to tie into is less than that. That would also require keeping it heated in the winter though instead of just firing up heat when I'm out there. We'll see. That maybe a project for later after the initial enclosing and wiring. It's right off the front porch

3rd and 2... seems like a great time to sling it 30 yards down the field into perfectly bracketed double coverage. Signed, Mike Shula
