  1. Rhule wants vet reclamation project bandaids and Fitts thinks he can find another Russ Wilson in the 3rd. Either way, we're good and proper fuged.
  2. The best lineman will probably have arms an inch too short for Rhule's flawless analytics.
  3. I don't think you trade down if you're targeting a specific prospect. I think you trade down when there are multiple prospects you have valued equally and you feel certain one will be available where you're trading down to. Either that or you simply thing there's no great value at your draft spot and you feel you'll ultimately get better all value by trading down for additional picks or future picks. This crew ain't gonna be trading for future assets though. They'll be trading the future assets.
  4. Oh look... Dave is still sitting around with his thumb lodged firmly up his ass.
  5. I'd be fine with that being the hottest day of the year I experience, not mid-January.
  6. The forecast has been pretty consistent for 8-12" of snow with minimal ice for Morganton. I hope that holds. fug ice.
  7. That "wide search" may have resulted in a lot of
  8. It may have just been the media throwing out some reasonable options when they really needed to be looking at former grad assistants at Temple and Baylor.
  9. You never know around here. Now granted, Cam's EPA is biased toward scoring much more than a RB's because his designed runs were far more concentrated to short yardage situations (like being down on the goalline) than a RB's.
  10. It means that when Cam runs the ball he's elite in both gaining more yard per rus than expected based on league averages and in a complete league of his own in terms of scoring more points per rush than expected based on league averages.
  11. Reddick is a Temple guy so Rhule probably makes him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. Realistically, I try to keep both and run a legit straight up 3-4 D. Burns and Reddick both fit better as 3-4 OLBs. As starting DEs you're just too light to stop the run consistently. I think we're closer to fielding a 3-4 front than we are a 4-3.
  12. Pre-Rhule, our cap was setup to be great going into this off-season. Our draft is gutted because of trades made under Rhule. I expect more of the same. Dumb contracts handed out to third tier vets that we over pay out of desperation and more desperate trading of future draft assets for bandaid solutions. If anything, it'll be even worse as these guys feel more pressure to win now to save their jobs. Darker days are ahead I'm afraid.
  13. So us and the Bears are in a league of our own in terms of hurt. At least the Bears have a young highly drafted QB and an upcoming new HC to excite them. We have Sam Darnold and Matt Rhule. Yep, pass the rope.
  14. I honestly think we would've drafted Mond or Davis had they been there for us in the 3rd. Both went not too far ahead of us.
  15. I've been wanting to pickup a generator for awhile now. This would be a good excuse. It would knock me out of the running for a new welder anytime soon though. Hmmm...
  16. Zappe has put up absolutely video game numbers. I wanna see him against better competition and with better surrounding cast. I put Ridder in that Kellen Mond)Davis Mills bucket as a prospect. Probably a backup, but maybe a developmental starter. Late 2nd/early 3rd range IMO.
  17. This could be the Texas cold snap all over again. There's gonna be massively widespread power outages. Hell, I might go buy a generator myself. Yep, that's the excuse I'll give the wife.
  18. The guy was dripping with talent. I just watched a lot of Oregon football living in CO at the time and everything was single reads or rollouts with half field reads. It made you think he couldn't read a defense or be trusted to go through a progression.
  19. Nah, I doubt Herbert is any faster on a stopwatch. He's just a much better QB who doesn't panic. Darnold panics if his first read isn't open. I'm still just baffled at how misused Herbert was by that Oregon staff. Damn...
  20. Seriously. Just an awful look in retrospect. I mean, I guess I appreciate the honesty which seems rare for Rhule but I actually don't think he's trying to be "honest" there he's just so beholden to "analytics" that he actually thinks that's an intelligent answer. His best coach speak answer on that is probably to simply say that they evaluated Horn as the better prospect. We expect BIG things out of him in the future. Period. End of story.
  21. It's amazing how hard Tepper got duped. It's terrifying as a fan to see how he's refusing to acknowledge that duping or refusing to act on the acknowledgement.
  22. I'd be surprised if Fitts isn't actively trying to distance himself from Rhule in Tepper's mind. Whether he's cut out to he a GM or not, he's been in the NFL plenty long enough to realize that this guy is in way over his head and he needs to be developing a game plan to get himself a shot to try to run this show post-Rhule.
