  1. Everything about the offense is broken right now. Just point a finger in any direction and you're going to he pointing at a problem.
  2. We got cocky. Started talking playoffs. Thought we had arrived. Then reality smacked us in the face and the blow was stunning and derailing. We're a bad team that had early success due to fortunate circumstances that got cocky and then got their confidence shattered when we found out that we aren't nearly as good as we thought we were. Why we got cocky after beating two of the very worst teams in the league and an N.O. team missing half their roster and coaching staff is what baffles me.
  3. I mean in terms of the routes and reads. Everything we're running is very basic one to two read type stuff. Teddy was physically limited, but we didn't have to give him a coloring book as a playbook. It seems like that's what we've had to do this year.
  4. Yeah, my next door neighbor is trying to sell his house for $1.4M. It might be worth half that. Just because you're asking for something doesn't mean you're gonna get it.
  5. I think we REALLY dialed things back this year due to severe limitations on the OL and at QB. I mean, if your OL sucks and your QB sucks, you're basically fuged from jump street. There's only so much you can scheme around. I'd like to see Brady get a chance to work with a decent OL and QB, I'm just not sure it's in the cards.
  6. It was just like Teddy last year. It looked good until opposing DCs got the relevant film to study. That's when the truth comes out. It tried to tell y'all this for two straight years, but I was just being negative.
  7. @HardcoreHokie said it and @OldhamA was his lead blocker for anyone who pointed out that the premise was absurd. We were just all being negative.
  8. Legit one of the most ridiculous takes I've seen anyone voice on this forum.
  9. Yep. We had folks suggesting that we actually got the best WR when Marshall was showing out in preseason and Chase was struggling.
  10. Oh, the drop off is pretty drastic but I agree that Chuba is starter quality. CMC is arguably the best all around RB in the NFL but it sure seems like he's becoming injury prone.
  11. Those Ravens and Bucs teams were prior to the change in interpretation of illegal contact. That changed the game that was when the league started to evolve full on pass happy.
  12. Yep. And that's pretty key. You think you're ready to win now when you leave yourself this depleted of draft stock. We... we're not ready to win now and our ability to build via the draft is significantly compromised.
  13. Rhule's teams have always been built around dominant D and decent offense. He thought he could replicate that in the NFL. Put all the resources into the D, find a JAG vet QB to hold the fort down and let boy wonder Brady go to work. Well, it doesn't work like that in the NFL and it's alarming Rhule couldn't see that coming in.
  14. We said all the right things. But everything we DID screamed that these guys thought they could be heroes and slap quick fixes on everything. They started out 3-0 and thought they'd accomplished it. Started talking playoffs (insert Jim Mora gif). Started trading future picks for more players. Then the wheels fell off. Now we're careening down the cliff completely out of control.
  15. If I was an LSU fan I'd want him too. I don't think Brady wants to deal with the recruiting mess in college, but he's not ready to be an NFL OC. I'd take that contract LSU would throw at him though. He'll be a wealthy man, even if he flops.
  16. Firing an NFL coach after one season usually ends up working out https://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/12/nfl-one-and-done-chudzinski-carroll-mora-schottenheimer You didn't expect that one coming. Walked right into it.
  17. No, no, no. He moved on from that excuse. Now it's that we're such a young team with a college coaching staff. Guess who made those decisions?
  18. You're just machine gun blasting excuses. Most of which were decisions made by Rhule himself. There were five new head coaches for the 2020 season. The only one with a worse record than Rhule blew us out today. He only has one less win than Rhule now. You want to make excuses and accept a loser. That's fine. Based on your ability to argue a point and formulate a coherent thought, you've become quite accustomed to embracing the L.
  19. You're editing almost every post and now you're arguing with yourself? LOL! Completely off the rails.
  20. Yep. He obviously figured out how to catch that NFL ball. LOL! Remember in the preseason some Panthers fans thinking we may have gotten the better LSU WR in Marshall? LOLOLOL!!! Dude's on the back of a milk carton these days.
  21. One that showed signs of having this team headed in the right direction. If you haven't noticed, we're currently spiraling downward rapidly. The same thing happened last year after a decent start. The pandemic isn't a new situation this year. If you want to make excuses for Rhule, fine. The Panthers' history has conditioned a lot of fans to accept a loser.
  22. We saw PJ. He was awful too. We already knew that from last year. As soon as we went into the season with OJ as our backup I already knew we were all in on Darnold. If we don't panic trade for Watson, we're top 5 pick bound.
  23. You forgot that Ron's first season featured a lockout shortened offseason, didn't you? If you want to sit around and make excuses, you can do that. But Matt Rhule wasn't given a 7 year $60M contract to sit around and make excuses. All of those excuses you listed have nothing to do with the pandemic and were created by Rhule himself. He made his own bed and we're looking at the results.
  24. Who made those mistakes? Point me to the signs that we're improving as an organization because I'm missing them.
