  1. He was one of those guys who was a decently hot name early on because pundits see stats. But the more feedback the pundits got from actual scouts, the further he fell down draft boards. Actual NFL talent evaluators were just never high on the guy.
  2. Rhule and company thought that about Teddy last year too. Just saying. I think trading for Darnold was a mistake. He's probably just a bust. I would've absolutely drafted Justin Fields. I hope I'm wrong. I hope Darnold becomes a perennial All-Pro, I just sincerely doubt that happens. St the end of the day, I just want him to boom or bust. Don't be "just good enough". Clearly be the answer or clearly don't be the answer so that we can resume our search for the answer. Thanks.
  3. There won't be any ghosts on the field in practice. We won't know if he's shell shocked until the real bullets start flying.
  4. I don't care what he does in OTAs. Or camp. Or preseason. I want to see what he does when the games start for real.
  5. I'm gonna try to stay away from known commodities here... High: Gross-Matos. He showed some nice flashes as a rookie. I think he'll evolve into a very good DE opposite Burns and their respective strengths complement each other well. Unsure: Chinn. Now wait a minute, I'm not unsure of the player. I'm unsure of how we're gonna use him. Is he a full-time safety now? Will we be tempted to shift him more toward LB again out of necessity either due to injury or subpar play from our LBs? Personally, I'd like to see us stay the course with him. Wherever we feel he's best suited, play him there. Don't let his versatility mean we hamper his development trying to put a band-aid on elsewhere. Phil Snow thinks that safety is where he best fits. Low: Darnold. Until he proves otherwise, he's just a bust. History isn't kind to busts resurrecting their careers elsewhere. Sure, it happens but it's the exception and not the rule. Here's to hoping Darnold proves to be an exception but I'll believe it when I see it.
  6. This wasn't just poor form, it was potentially unlawful. Lots of states have laws on the books that for conversations to be recorded requires knowledge of all parties involved. Connecticut (where ESPN is headquartered and presumably where Sharpe was) is one of those states.
  7. I hope he's right. Grier seems like a solid dude. I'd love for him to win the backup job, but I just don't think he's an NFL caliber QB.
  8. That's my opinion too. An attempt to save face where the attempt itself basically betrays that the rumors were right all along. There was zero reason for them to try to put up a smokescreen after making their deal. All they really had to say here was either nothing at all (probably the best option) or say they made the deal for Lance but of course they were going to continue to do their due diligence on Mac Jones too. Why wouldn't they? You've already made the deal. Make damn sure you're taking the best QB available.
  9. You don't need to focus on offense when Cam IS your offense. Duh.
  10. I'd like to ask questions like this to a certain coach up I-95.
  11. I think the more accurate statement is that we HOPE that we have legitimate CBs now. We're long on young talent but we're still very short on proven NFL ability.
  12. I hope we have something up our sleeves at FS.
  13. I bought my Jayco Baja ZX about a year ago for $5k. The only one I'm seeing on the market right now is several years older and is almost $9k.
  14. When the supply/demand is skewed to heavily favor the seller, you're not in a strong place to negotiate. If you're trying to shop for a deal, you're gonna have to wait.
  15. I'd honestly be surprised if the offers were huge. He's still a 32 year old WR.
  16. Campers, ATVs, boats you name it. It's ridiculous.
  17. Fields might be the guy who got shafted. Nagy basically looks like Gase 2.0.
  18. Might? The used vehicle market has been absolutely stupid for most of the past year. If you have a diesel truck that runs, you can probably get $20k for it. A Jeep that runs? At least $10k. Same for a Toyota truck or 4-Runner. Running Land Cruiser? That's at least $15k.
  19. He's shifted his argument to "last season technically wasn't last season".
  20. Literally no one considers "last season" to be the season before last. Last being the most recent season.
  21. Yeah, it's getting a bit too Super Bowlish IMO. The Super Bowl has become such a spectacle at this point that sometimes it's difficult to recall that there's a football game being played.
  22. Jacksonville has already confirmed they weren't allowed to make their pick until 7 minutes into the clock, at which point it took them three phone calls to get Trevor to answer.
  23. UNC was competitive against TAMU despite missing their #1 WR, both 1000+ yard RBs and their best defender to opt-outs while TAMU had zero opt-outs and we're playing to prove they were snubbed from the playoffs.
  24. Did I say him? No, I said his competition. NDSU would not have beaten UNC. They barely beat Central Arkansas in Lance's only game. I'll never defend dook or state. fug them. They can lose to NDSU.
