  1. With our current QB it doesn't matter anyway. We're just fodder to fill out the NFL schedule and pad contenders' records with our current QB.
  2. Hell, as a UNC fan I hope he's right. But even as a UNC fan, I have serious reservations with Brown as an NFL prospect. His hands are super hit or miss and he's a bit of a one trick pony deep threat. The majority of his yards come on fly routes or gimmicky schemes up quick hitters. His route running needs considerable work. My NFL comp for Brown? Ted Ginn Jr. Brown's hands are a bit better but while he has speed he doesn't have Ginn's world class speed. But that's what I'm talking about when I say he has hit or miss hands. He's gonna drop some WIDE OPEN balls and it's not going to be on rare occasion. IMO, Dazz Newsome is the better NFL prospect and he's plug and play in the slot having largely played the same position thought his college career. Brown has a lot of potential but I see him more boom or bust. Newsome is going to have a decent NFL career with his receiving skills, hands, and added bonus return ability.
  3. Pretty much this. There's a lot to like about the talent. If we're sold on the guy and draft him, I'll root like hell for him.
  4. He'll struggle to outshine Brandon "Swole Bones" Williams.
  5. I'm rooting for Bayless and it'll be awesome if he can become a contributor for us, but I've seen time and time again when training camp superstars fail to ever deliver on the field.
  6. It's weird how many people here seem hell-bent on going out of their way to blatantly or low key try toss shade at Cam at any given opportunity. They usually claim they don't really care about Cam and are tired of people constantly talking about Cam here when it's mentioned. Weird...
  7. There are going to be a lot of salary cap casualties this year and the draft is loaded with good looking mid-round slot WR prospects. Don't get me wrong, I'd live to hang onto Samuel but in a hard cap league given our roster situation, it makes all the sense in the world to let him walk.
  8. So you're suggesting that we may possibly be going to buttfug ND to scout a borderline top 5 LT prospect and just utterly ignore the definite top 5 QB prospect? C'mon man...
  9. We have huge needs at QB and LT. Their top two prospects by miles happen to be a QB and. LT. This one is pretty easy to figure out.
  10. Seems like every short WR in every draft class inevitably draws the Smitty comparisons, but I've yet to see another motherfuger like Smitty.
  11. It's interesting how the never-Cammers always accuse the Cam fans of trying to "make everything about Cam" and then make threads like this...
  12. As they should be. There's a LT there to scout too.
  13. If by "supplements" you mean "steroids" and "short time" you mean the better part of a year then I agree.
  14. Me looking for all the Teddy Bridgewater fans.
  15. Even Jake disagrees with this. Jake was a borderline top 10 QB at his best. Cam Newton was the best football player in the world at his best. Love both dudes, but this is no contest. It's like trying to argue that someone other than Smitty is the Panthers best WR or someone other than Peppers is our best DE.
  16. Maybe. But the first step is getting there. The Bucs just won the SB as a wild card team.
  17. The defense got quite a few stops when the chips were down. Teddy never came through.
  18. All I'm saying is that literally every time Teddy had the chance to come through to deliver a tie or W he came up short. Ever. Single. Time.
  19. I really don't want to part with Brown or Burns. I'd try like hell to keep those two and Chinn off the table.
  20. A lot to like about the player, but he also has injury issues for days.
  21. How many games did we lose because Teddy couldn't deliver in crunch time?
