I think the portal and NIL will level the playing field somewhat over the top 25 or so. Four and five star recruits are going to be a lot less patient sitting and waiting their turn when they can enter the portal and cash a check AND hit the field for sure next year. It seemed like there was always a very deserving team left out on the cold with the four team format.
