There's a big gap between the legit top 5 teams and the top 20 type teams. I honestly thought Clemson was probably a little overrated at #14 and UGA probably is legit #1. An 11 point spread on a betting line between ranked teams is pretty significant.

Early season games are largely mismatched schedule filler. It's the preseason of the college schedule.

So electric people had to pretend like he was floating interior talent at Alabama. But yeah, he was a very good college QB. I just always thought it was plainly obvious that he was one of those classic great college football players who just didn't have the talent to translate it to the NFL. They're just different games.

If Bryce had jumped maybe I would've seen him. Camera must have been framed for a QB of normal height.

That's the case for all the elite teams. The talent divide between the haves and the have nots is extreme.

UGA made adjustments. We'll see if Clemson did. I think Kirby Smart is hands down the best coach in college football. He might be the new Saban. He's a Saban protege.

I don't know if these are two of the absolute best defenses in the country or two of the absolute worst offenses. I'm leaning toward a little bit of both. I don't think these offenses are very good.

We'll see how it pans out over the season. No one would've expected Jayden Daniels to be a top picks. Same with the McCarthy and Penix.

He sucks at throwing slants. Missed a TD on a slant throwing it high and just missed what would've been a 1st down conversion throwing a slant well behind the receiver.

Shop him and if no takers release him. If you're not good and you have an aging mediocre QB that you can get out from under his contract easily, it would be negligent not to play a young QB with some intriguing traits that you've traded for at some point in the season.

Howell will probably be starting in Seattle before the end of the season. I don't expect them to be good and I don't expect them to extend Geno Smith. If both are true they're gonna want to give Howell a test drive while they have the opportunity.

I think I might go to one of my old HS games tonight. Haven't been back in that stadium in 20 years. They got a new coach this year who has won multiple state championships. They lost their first game last week but it was a one score game and that team went 13-1 and beat us by 40 last year.
