The real reason it's so awful is the value we got in return. The Giants made him the second highest paid pass rusher in the league and only gave up a 2nd and a 5th to get him. The last time I remember a pass rusher like that getting traded was when Khalil Mack got traded to the Bears. Now I think Mack was the better player but they were comparable. Mack became the highest paid edge rusher and had 40.5 sacks over the previous four years. Burns is the 2nd highest paid edge rusher and he has 38.5 sacks over the previous four years. There's a reason why the Rams offered us two 1sts and the reason was largely the standard the Khalil Mack trade set. What did the Raiders get for Mack? Two 1sts, a 3rd, and a 6th. We got robbed.

Don't worry. Based on our recent track record it'll be way more depressing when we see what we turn this 2nd and 5th into.

This is a head scratcher. The Eagles have proven they don't need to spend big money at RB to get big time production. With that said, if Barkley stays healthy he's about to put up CMC numbers.

That's largely his rep among fellow players that he cares more about a pretty stat line to protect his check than he does trying to help his team win.

Cousins is good for two things: putting up decent stats and making a lot of money. Winning? Not so much.

I saw an article recently that said if Cousins walks to expect them to sign Sam Darnold to start. That was a quality chuckle.

If he can't take the pressure of a 2nd or 3rd rounder pushing him he ain't it anyway. It's not like Bama wasn't recruiting the best QBs they could get to sign every year.
