  1. I think it's the right call. Can't imagine UGA is interested in him starting next year and he's probably been told that he'll have an opportunity to compete and promised nothing more than that. What is his draft status? Probably a mid-rounder. Hitting college free agency and cashing another NIL check while hoping to improve his draft stock is probably his best bet to be honest.
  2. I mean, if guys start sitting out playoff games - which honestly under the current system just feels like a matter of time before it starts happening - that's the type of thing that could kill the golden goose. I mean, what's even the point of being a CFB fan if it's that obvious that the NFL bound guys just see this whole thing as a forced pitstop on their way to the league? Which is exactly the case for a lot of these guys, but you kinda of have to keep the charade going. Kinda like how the NFL somehow keeps up an act for fans like most players are signing based on guaranteed money and that's it. Every free agent talks about wanting to go somewhere that they can win, etc. then you watch them sign for a Brinks truck with some bottom feeder. LOL

  4. Whew... that's gonna be something if guys start sitting out fuging playoff games. LOL! I think that would get clauses added to NIL agreements pretty quick. I don't think the schools really care if they sit out non-playoff games but if top 10 pick prospects start bowing out of the playoffs... oh wee mayne.
  5. A lot of these guys probably played QB at some point along the way. I mean, let's be real, if you have a future NFL talent on your little league or middle school team, you want to get maximum impact out of him. That's QB. A lot of them even play QB in HS for the same reason. If you don't have a good QB, then put your best athlete at QB. That's kind of a mantra for football below the collegiate level.
  6. Yeah, he definitely thinks he's a super cool Miami guy now. Watching him transform from football super nerd to Rico Suave has been pretty entertaining. It's like watching Zuckerberg and Musk and Bezos think they're cool now. Like STFU nerds, you just got money now you're never gonna be cool so just stop. LOL
  7. I don't really see an issue with McDaniels. The issue with that team is that their QB has a glass jaw and they don't have a viable backup. He's 25-16 with Tua. He's 3-7 without him. They won 11 games the one season Tua stayed healthy. They just can't afford to have backups like Tyler Huntley and Skylar Thompson with a starter who is likely to miss some games. You need a top tier backup.
  8. Good. Honestly not a big fan of retaining Evero but at minimum there had to be significant changed under him.
  9. Honestly, it's a pretty easy decision. You extend him. Bryce played much better down the stretch and Chuba looked like a top tier RB and a big part of both was the revamped OL. Don't go fuging it up.
  10. I was about to say it's gotta be Kobe, right? Trading an all-time great for a run of the mill starting center is brutal.
  11. 100% disagreed. It was very obvious he wasn't the problem and got scapegoated. That entire staff was way too light on NFL experience. It was clear that Brady was an inexperienced play caller but it was also clear that his offensive system was going to translate to the NFL. I hope the Saints don't hire him because I like him. And honestly I think it might be too much too soon for him. He's still pretty light on NFL experience.
  12. Hell, I don't even have network television. LOL I stream sports and that's my only exposure to network television
  13. Cam is my favorite all time Panther and I wish him nothing but the best in all of his media ventures but reality TV and sports talk /podcasts just ain't it for me.
  14. I'm for extending him because Lord knows Panthers fans should well know that quality OTs don't grow on trees but anytime a guy is over 30 it's not too early to start thinking longer term. Plus l, the way his contract is structured were practically forced to extend him. He has a $31M cap hit next year due to previous restructures kicking the can.
  15. This. I didn't want him in the draft but he honestly showed quite a bit more promise thank I expected. I wanted McConkey and still think he should've been the pick but Legette has a chance to develop into something. We'll see what happens.
  16. Pretty much this. Yeah, I would enjoy getting a better look at the process as a Panthers fan but my #1 goal as a Panthers fan is to see my team win. I don't think the circus of Hard Knocks at all contributes to that #1 goal. In fact I think it works against it and that's why teams seek to avoid it. I'm honestly surprised the NFL hasn't gotten rid of it with all teams universally hating it but then again the same thing is true for Thursday Night Football, so yeah... all about the Benjamins.
  17. Keep in mind, Mays is only 26 and just wrapped up his third NFL season. Not like we're talking about some aging vet on his last legs.
  18. I think he's played plenty well enough sandwiched between great guards. With the hard salary cap you're never going to have a roster of All Pros. You have to pick and choose where to spend your cap and we already have a ton of it spent on the interior OL with our two recent big money guards. We kinda have to shop on a budget at center and Mays has shown he's up to the job. The other thing is that Mays is still pretty inexperienced at center. He should still have considerable room for growth.
  19. Why not? We need depth anyway and Moton is on the wrong side of 30 and is going into the last year of his contract with a massive cap hit. It's not too early to start thinking about life after Moton at RT. Plenty of OL remain effective well into their 30s but a LOT don't.
  20. If Tennessee can't say no and they have a shiny new #1 overall QB that's the direction I'd go. I'd prefer to not have to have us deal with that circus.
  21. Some people seemingly just want to be unhappy. If we ever win a Super Bowl they'll be whining about how the game was so much closer than it should've been because of this, that, and the other.
  22. It's almost like you can't grasp that Bryce and we as a team could play better and still lose. That was the story of most of the second half of the season. We just fuged up and actually won two of them. No one would feel a bit differently if the Falcons had won the toss and gone down the field and scored in OT like we did. Because that was the bottom line. That game was essentially decided by the OT coin toss the way both teams were scoring at will.
  23. If you're out as soon as you're wrong about a draft prospect no one has survived a single draft. Hell, probably not a single round. It's a damn crap shoot. LOL
  24. Not sure if anyone else is watching this D1-AA championship game but I don't know if these receivers have NFL athleticism but they got HANDS. These boys can flat out CATCH. This is a good football game.
