  1. Archie is already saying that Arch won't be in next year's draft. They want him to play four years of college ball like they all did. I mean, it's hard to argue against. If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. I have good news and bad news for you though. Tepper's Panthers are probably likely to be on play for the 2027 #1 overall pick too. Being in #1 overall conversations is just an annual Panthers tradition in the Tepper era.
  2. Yeah, he was. But a ball placement that slowed him down brought the defender back into the play resulting in a contested pass. It was just a subpar throw to a subpar receiver against an All-Pro DB. Nothing about the result should be surprising.
  3. No. Dude, just no. LOL Sanders had good separation and had to slow down allowing Stingley back into the play. Stop embarrassing yourself. The throw wasn't terrible. It was catchable. But when you're throwing to a subpar starting TE covered by an All-Pro DB these are the results unless everything is perfect. I'm not even trashing Bryce here. He threw a catchable ball. This is why I say that you're coping. You're just not watching this like an educated football viewer.
  4. Just totally different approaches from these two teams. Texans look like a team actively preparing for the regular season looking ready to go. Panthers just look like a bunch of guys thrilled to be cashing Tepper's checks.
  5. There's a word for that in football... It wouldn't have been contested with a better thrown ball but the ball was where it was leading to it being... contested.
  6. He might be shot. All those whispers about serious concerns about his knee may well have been correct.
  7. If you don't want to be accused of coping then stop doing it. How often do you honestly expect a subpar starting TE to convert passes that could've been placed better while being contested by All Pro DBs? Just give me a percentage. I'm at 90% exactly what we saw.
  8. It looks like we need to clean up everything on offense. Nothing about that was encouraging.
  9. Nice pass deflection to prevent the easy TD. Who was supposed to be covering that RB???
  10. I did. I saw a subpar starting QB throwing a decent ball that could've been more out front away from the defender creating more room to a subpar starting TE well covered by an All-Pro who is elite at breaking up passes. That all adds up to a failed 3rd down conversion the vast majority of the time. Stop coping.
  11. Subpar to subpar going against an All Pro. Them's the results nine times out of ten. It is what it is.
  12. Welp... looks like we're gonna be talking next year's draft when we're still running the AC.
  13. Stop. Dude was on him like a blanket. LOL Bryce threw a decent ball and a guy who should be a backup failed to make a pretty tough catch. It is what it is. Had the ball been a little more out in front it would've been better but we have a subpar starting QB throwing to a subpar starting TE and we got the expected result.
  14. A 2nd year mid-round rookie TE failed to make a contested catch against one of the NFL's best DBs who ahad the 2nd in the NFL in broken up passes last season. Who would've think it. LOL
  15. Agreed. Probably looking for a DPI but even then, you're putting all your eggs on the basket of the refs calling the penalty you think they're calling.
  16. For all the talk about Bryce looking better that looked like the vintage Bryce most Panthers fans were ready to move on from.
  17. Okay, Bryce clearly saw the DL tackle the OL and the flag flying before he threw that. Thank god, because yikes...

  19. I didn't want UNC to hire Belichick simply because it's the exact same thing we just had to get rid of - an old, retired coach getting off the couch to hopefully act as a bridge to the next generation of UNC football. In the perfect world, Mack would've retired as Drake Maye was going into his final season giving UNC a great opportunity to go out and land a good coach. But the dinosaur wanted to hang on as dinosaurs tend to do. I had a lot of doubts about Belichick as a college coach but the recruiting so far is alleviating most of those. I just had a hard time wrapping my mind around how a guy was going to go from being in a position to tell All Pros that it's his way or the highway to kissing HS kids' asses. That seems like a hard switch to flip. But it seems like they've essentially built a recruiting structure where others are handling the bulk of the process and Bill just shows up wearing six SB rings and says "Are we gonna do this or not?" Basically still in the same "we'll see mindset" but it's going better than I expected so far. The big question to me though is still "what's next?" Is it Bill's kid? That's probably the Belichick plan. Is it UNC's plan? No clue. Gonna be a wild ride one way or the other. LOL
  20. The question mark is health. We're already dealing with injury issues on the OL. Hopefully that doesn't linger.
  21. It won't be shocking if we have to do that again this year at LB.
