  1. Nah, we'd be so much better to tread water with Darnold and maybe take a QB next year with our inevitable top 10 pick. At which point the narrative will be to give Corral a shot and maybe look at a QB in '24. At which point the '25 QB class will look can't miss. And so on and so forth...
  2. They gotta try to pickup 10 yards or so on the sidelines. But that's also exactly what the Bucs will expect.
  3. I honestly don't know why people are still complaining about that Cards' play call. If the RB catches a routine pitch that hit him in the chest he easily picks up the 1st. That was completely on the RB.
  4. McSorely literally tried to throw to Hopkins as he was laying on the ground. Talk about predetermining where you're going with the ball...
  5. Maybe next year. It's always maybe next year. Then folks somehow get caught by surprise when we suck again.
  6. Bad teams usually find a way to lose. Well, both these teams are bad but the Cardinals are worse.
  7. He's boom or bust but if he busts we still have good talent at the non-QB marquee positions. We're still fine. Just swing again. Drafting a stud at a non-QB position wouldn't substantially change who we are. Take a chance on the talent.
  8. There's no one in this draft I'm banging the table to move up for. If Richardson is there, draft him. His upside is worth the risk if his interviews check out.
  9. The still think Tom Brady is Tom Brady and he can win no matter what. Ironically, he's the reason they're losing tonight.
  10. How has it been working trying to load up on talent outside of QB to try to win with subpar QB play? We've spent ridiculous draft capital on this defense. The OL is solid. We have really good players at all the marquee positions minus QB. Horn at CB. Moore at WR. Ickey at LT. Burns on the edge. Derrick Brown in the middle. Those are the highest paid positions in the league outside of QB and we have really good talent and all but one is still on a rookie contract. We're pissing away a great opportunity with these talents on cheap contracts because we're too scared to step up and swing at QB. As we have to start paying these guys were going to have to start making other roster decisions. There's no such thing as a perfect roster and every roster wants for upgrades. But we have a good situation where our best talent is at marquee positions. A legit franchise QB and coaching staff wins 10+ games with this roster and might just compete for a SB in the NFC.
  11. It is wonderful to watch Brady look like absolute dog poo. They're literally losing this game because Tom Brady sucks. They're playing a bad team on their backup QB. Their D is playing well. Their run game has been decent. Tom Brady is just playing like open ass.
  12. Because at some point you have to start swinging. We've been making excuses for years. Identify a guy and go get him. Have the guts to dare to be great. Try to e great. Don't sit around and hope you can be the best bad team to limp into the playoffs but not actually be able to threaten to win it all.
  13. Right now we're a pretty good team minus the QB decision. My point is I think we're at the point where we can justify taking swings on QB. I don't see us getting significantly better by building an overall stronger roster. We need a fuging QB.
  14. When the arm goes it impacts everything. But the big difference I see with Brady is when he has to drive the ball 20+ yards in the air. It's like watching Cam try to throw after his shoulder fell apart. Things can look fine until a throw that demands some arm strength and then it shows that things are NOT fine.
  15. We've been playing this "maybe next year" game with drafting a QB ever since we parted with Cam. At some point you have to start swinging if you actually want to compete for SBs.
  16. It is the power that's fallen off. His accuracy still looks the same as ever for the most part until he has to try to throw in 20+ yards in the air. He just doesn't have the arm to do it anymore.
  17. The Bucs seriously need to consider benching Brady. This dude is shot.
  18. No poo. It's a team sports and you can't win without a team but the Bucs were a bad team before they signed Brady and immediately won a SB. No one is trying to argue that the Lions were anything but a bad organization during the Stafford years. There's only one position that the addition of one player on your roster can significantly alter your trajectory as a franchise.
  19. There were a few on the first half. A couple of bad misses and an INT.
  20. I sure hope we don't have to endure 17 straight years of playoff misses to finally break through and get our guy.
  21. All the best young QBs currently in the league had serious question marks entering the draft and only one of them (Burrow) went #1 overall. Most (Allen, Mahomes, Herbert) weren't the #1 QB taken in their draft class. Maybe Lawrence is going to enter this conversation and change that narrative, but still... the best young QBs in the league setup the argument to take a swing on the best physical talent as long as you think the kid has a good head on his shoulders.
  22. They won the SB because they went out and got a fuging franchise QB. You keep making terrible, easily proven incorrect arguments. The Bucs we're not winning. They went 5-11, 5-11, and 7-9 prior to signing Brady and winning the SB. The Bills did go 9-7 the year prior to drafting Allen, but prior to that had missed the playoffs for 17 straight seasons. No one would try to argue they were building a winning culture in Buffalo prior to Josh Allen. The Chiefs were the only team you mentioned there that were actually winning when they drafted their franchise QB and it was because Andy Reid was smart enough to know they'd gone as far as they were going to get with Alex Smith and needed a top tier talent at QB to get over the hump
  23. We have been so bad for so long some of y'all have reduced your standards to hardly anything.
