[Sheena Quick] Panthers interested in Eric Fisher
LinvilleGorge replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oddly enough he was as a rookie. He never was again though. -
I'd be fine with bringing Minshew in as a stopgap for the right price. The right price for me maxes out at next year's 3rd.
-
That's what you hope. Or he could show up looking 37 years old.
-
I'm not talking about missing games, I'm talking about rapidly decking physical ability.
-
He was. That's why it baffles me that our fans and seemingly our staff think he's a slam dunk to transition to LG and be successful. His biggest weakness (quite literally) is his playing strength. That'll be a bigger issue at OG going up against primarily interior DTs than it was at LT going up against primarily edge rushers.
-
I agree. I think we should stay away. I'd honestly rather just play Christensen at LT. Like I said, Whitworth is a unicorn. Very, very few OTs remain effective in their late 30s. Maybe Brown can overcome Father Time too but IMO you gotta play the odds on these decisions and the odds are pretty heavily against it.
-
Yeah, I think those numbers are a pipedream.
-
He's 36. Andrew Whitworth is a unicorn.

It blowsy mind folks can't see this. Classic example of the reality that QBs usually get more credit than they deserve when the team is doing well and more blame than they deserve when the team isn't doing well. Jimmy G is and was trash carried by a good team. Foles... nah, he isn't good but that dude did capture lightning in a bottle during that run. He was a big reason why they won the SB. In the NFC CG and SB he threw for a combined 700+ yards and 6 TDs vs. only 1 INT whole completing roughly 70% of his attempts. That's ELITE play if only for a very brief yet pivotal period.
-
Agreed. On paper this has the potential to be our best secondary ever. Granted, we've always prioritized the front seven over the secondary so that wouldn't necessarily be a monumental achievement but still.

Posted by a college buddy who went to duke for seminary school. You KNOW the officiating was trash when even the Duke fans are saying stuff like this. -

ACC football officiating is as trash as trash gets. Even when I'm watching teams I don't really care about it stands out as just atrocious. -

Doesn't? Let's hope he DOES. Fug Rick Barnes. -

There is WAY too much of this in college basketball these days and I'm not just talking about this game. It's virtually every game I watch. It's like all the refs have morphed into TV Teddy. They want their screentime. -
Maybe you should tell your shitbag of a coach not to complain about the refs because he chews on them like bacon fat during every stoppage of play.
-
Yeah, I'm not big on Ridder but I don't see any chance of him falling to the 4th. Hell, if we had a 3rd and he was there I'd be saying he has to at least be in consideration at that point.
-
You know what's embarrassing? Continually trolling a thread about a team you don't follow. You'll never see me posting in a duke thread because fug duke.
