  1. As for what I'd be willing to give? Conditional late round pick. That's it. Nothing more. The guy is a bust.
  2. All I'm gonna say is that my Eagles fan buddy talks about him the same way we did guys like Greg Little, Byron Bell, Amini Silatolu, etc.
  3. I remember Pete Carroll coming out and straight up saying Mark Sanchez isn't ready for the NFL. I was like, "Damn."
  4. You gonna have to pay those guys like they're on the active roster or the NFLPA is going to have a big problem keeping those guys tied to a PS spot if they're being offered active roster status elsewhere. That would just be really unfair for those guys in that situation. That's why practice squads have always been pluckable.
  5. That would cost the owners money. The only thing billionaire owners want more than wins is more money in the bank.
  6. There's a couple who showed up after we traded for Darnold. They're welcome, but yeah I don't have much patience for them lecturing long-term Panthers fans on how to be Panthers fans when the thought of being a Panthers fan had never crossed their mind prior to a few months ago and who will almost certainly disappear as suddenly as they appeared if Darnold doesn't become a part of our long-term plans.
  7. Joe Horn played 12 years in the NFL. Jaycee has a major leg up on most rookies in terms of knowing what he's in for at the NFL level, both physically and mentally.
  8. Every NFL team operates at a razor thin margin. There are no Alabamas or Clemsons or Ohio States in the NFL where your third stringers are every bit as good as the opposition's starters. Every team has key players they're gonna miss bad if they go down and every team has position groups that are thin and/or weak. That's just the way it is in a hard salary cap league. There's no going out and stocking the cupboard with nothing but 4 and 5 star recruits like the top programs do in college.
  9. And if he does fail, you'll be gone because you're not a Panthers fan. You're a Sam Darnold fan. Don't start thinking you're a "better" fan than people who were here long before Sam Darnold.
  10. Like I've already told you, I'll be thrilled if Sam proves me wrong and is the answer. But I'm not going to engage in mental gymanstics to try to convince myself that it's likely.
  11. That was the primary concern about Becton. 1st weakness listed: Weight could become a major issue without discipline https://www.nfl.com/prospects/mekhi-becton/32004245-4381-4547-3cf4-9d445d134d9a
  12. I'll hope for the best for the Panthers but I doubt that Darnold is the answer and I am virtually certain that PJ isn't the answer. I can hope in one hand and honestly call it like I see it in the other. I'm always happy to be wrong when it works out for the best for the Panthers.
  13. We'll find out soon enough. I hope you're right.
  14. Yep. They all have the length but they sail wide. I think he was 1/6 from 50+ last year.
  15. Is that the one he had surgery on in the offseason?
  16. As long as Joey Slye gets one of these on his helmet for every FGA he slices into the stands.
  17. Cringy. Feels like college stuff.
  18. Big FA signing pass rusher for the Jets. He has a significant injury history including a previous ACL tear.
  19. That sucks. Injuries always suck, but training camp and preseason injuries REALLY suck.
  20. Well, this working out about as well as the Panthers' DBO sign.
