  1. We gotta stop leaning on the Rhule crutch. He gone. He been gone.
  2. We'll see what he looks like next year. He might have let the praise go to his head. If he isn't improved next year we need a new LT. And that would SUCK.
  3. I found it alarming in the preseason how Ickey would look like hot trash then be all smiles and laughs on the sideline later being interviewed all the whole our coaches acted like everything was fine. Everything was not fine.
  4. We knew Ickey was a physical specimen that needed refinement, especially in pass protection. But the Panthers drafting players and them not developing a bit is becoming quite a thing. TMJ was better as a rookie than he is now. Ickey was better as a rookie than he is now. Chinn should've been the DROY and we could barely find a way to get him on the field this year. Burns is still a talented pass rusher who is a liability against the run. The list goes on and on. Our rookies tend to be at their best on draft day. That's concerning to say the least.
  5. We suck and they suck and their 1st round QB is hurt. I'm honestly surprised that any market outside of the immediate Charlotte and Indy markets are being subjected to this.
  6. 224 yards and 15 points? Yeah, I don't think anyone needs to be getting too worried about Brown getting hired away just yet after winning a defensive struggle.
  7. Sweat and Young getting traded were the definitive death knell of Ron in Washington. Trading for a 70+ year old coach though? Eh...
  8. Thielen is our slot receiver. He should not be the big fish. He's the big fish because the outside receivers aren't stepping up and delivering. That's their fault. Yet he focuses on the one guy we have who is producing despite his current limitations.
  9. Yeah, he's slow. He's 33. We moved him to the slot to give him new life. But even being slow he's getting open and catching football. Bitch about the two 2nd round picks who aren't.
  10. Yeah, you can't knock 33 year old Thielen for not being prime DJ Moore. That's on Scott Fitterer for trading away his #1 WR and only proven NFL WR to move up to get his QB. Moore and Ickey should've been the only two guys untouchable in that trade. Unfortunately, Ickey hasn't played up to that this year, but that's another bitch and moan session.
  11. He's more than doing his job. He needs to be pounding on the other guys who aren't.
  12. He legit has a personal problem with Adam Thielen and he's letting it jeopardize his content. It's honestly the only explanation at this point. Thielen is carrying our entire passing game. There's no two ways about it.
  13. I think he would for 2-3 games then he'd be Sam Darnold again. That's been the story of his career. He looks good at first but as soon as teams get film on him in a system it's a wrap. He must be the most predictable QB ever in film because once DCs get him dialed it's just over. If we give him this look, he's gonna do this. Okay, got it.
  14. He's more than the defensive player of the year, hell he's our team MVP through the first half of the season.
  15. Jimmy G is completely terrible. All the folks trying to convince themselves that Purdy is the next Brady might wanna remember that in SF the story about Jimmy G was that "all he does is win games". Honestly, I think Purdy would be trash outside of SF. Hell, the more games he plays the more he looks like trash IN SF.
  16. McD is cooked as a HC. You might survive failing spectacularly once but not twice. Now landing back in NE as Belichick's OC again? Highly likely.
  17. What exactly is Thomas Brown supposed to say if what Frank Reich has already told everyone isn't true? What if Thomas Brown actually believes he had legit input into the playbook if Reich basically paid him lip service while basically installing his playbook? Have you never been involved in a situation where you watch someone get manipulated into believing what they want to believe already by a skilled manipulator? I mean, I'm watching it right now. Actions speak louder than words. I'll always lean more heavily on actions and results vs. pre-season PR pieces. I mean, I honestly thought the Panthers were overselling how much they believed this team was ready to compete until I watched them operate this off-season. They weren't lying. They believed that poo.
  18. "fact" I mean, you can actually go look at the criticisms of Reich's offense in Indy and see the parallels, but you've already determined the "facts according to Mr. Scot".
  19. It's no wonder why you report more posts than all other posters on the board combined. You do this same "I'm brilliant and everyone else is a drooling moron" act in every thread then report the posts when people finally get sick of the act and lay into you. You're right. You're always right. That's the only reality that you can comprehend. The entire rest of the world consists entirely of morons. There ya go. Happy now?
  20. You do you, man. I'm just not gonna waste my time when I already know your response.
  21. Is there anything I or anyone else could show you that would convince you otherwise?
  22. I think the reality is that one is saying what you want to believe and you dismiss all else. They said they were ready to compete and they acted like it making bold win now moves. No lies detected. Maybe Brown did have heavy input into the playbook. Maybe that input was also heavily colored by what Reich wanted to include. We really don't know. But the way you wholesale embrace what you want to believe and heavily ridicule with heavily passive aggressive condescension everything else is a tale as old as time on the Huddle.
  23. I meant specifically how do you determine which Panthers PR drivel to believe? When they say they think they're ready to compete now and they make moves accordingly you dismiss it. When they say Brown has heavy influence in the offense and it looks just like Reich's offense in Indy you embrace it. I tend to believe what I see over what the PR team is trying to sell. Oftentimes there will be kernels of truth in the PR drivel and sometimes it's just pure PR drivel. The proof is in the pudding so they say.
