Handing the Bears a top 5 pick would really sting.

I think they legit wanted to go all in on Love this year and see how it goes. I mean, I don't think he's played anywhere nearly bad enough to bench him. We'll see how it plays out for them.
-
Honestly, I'm not impressed. I do see the physical skills but I'm not seeing anything that makes me think he's likely to ever be a plus starter.

I think the Lions were just a lot better tonight. If they hadn't taken their foot off the gas this might have ended up looking like the Dolphins/Broncos. Them going conservative in the second half was the only thing that allowed the Packers to briefly make this competitive.
-
Yep. Pedestrian stats on a dominant D. Somehow the NFL keeps allowing the obvious UGA stud to fall into the Eagles' lap. It's happened two years in a row. Jordan Davis last year and Jaylen Carter this year.
-
Good call. Packers down on the goal line to end the 3rd with an opportunity to potentially make this a one score game. Once you take your foot off the gas sometimes it's hard to get it revved back up again. I really don't understand why teams get away from what built them a huge lead. Force the team that's getting whooped to make the adjustments first.

Travis Walker > Aiden Hutchinson last year looks like a big mistake. Hutchinson has notched another sack and a half plus three additional QB hits tonight.
-
Seeing them getting after this GB offense, we might need to go ahead and identify a play on Sunday where Bryce tweaked that ankle again. Because good grief, I don't care who you have put there wearing green and gold tonight, it is NOT gonna end well.
-
Well, this sure went off the rails.

284 yards to 15. That sums up everything about this game this far.
-
Yeah, they are rarely good games. Seems like most are suckfests on both sides. But the Lions look like they're playing their SB vs. the Packers in preseason mode.
-
This is just one of those games where one team shows up and the other team didn't. The Lions are just dominating every facet of this game.
-
I mean, they're taking a 2-1 team to the woodshed. I agree that the Eagles and Niners look to be the best NFC teams but it's a long season. Being the best teams in September doesn't mean much.

Just got home and turned the game on... to find out that it's already over.

A lot of time our drafting feels like we predetermine our picks. Like we're taking a WR in the 2nd, an edge rusher in the 3rd, etc. We don't seem to do a good job of taking advantage of the strength of draft classes or letting the draft come to us. I get it, you may have it in your head you'd like to draft a certain position in the mid-rounds then there's a run on that position in the late 2nd/early 3rd. The rational thing to do is simply target another position. The Panthers thing to do is panic trade up and reach at the position. That's how you end up trading up to draft DJ Johnson.
-
Don't get too proud of that. It's because the Panthers pretty much just don't exist to the casual NFL fan.

If you threw parties with the logic of fantasy football you'd find yourself at Igo's eating vegan food and drinking non-alcoholic beer.
-
I couldn't care less about fantasy football. Any system that makes the least valuable position on the field the most valuable position in their algorithm is dumb and should cease to exist or at minimum be heavily revamped.
-
I don't care so much about the actual stat line. Just show me something to get excited about.

NFL executives give Bryce Young early grade

You got that DeLorean up to 88mph? How else did you make time go backwards? -
DJ Johnson is the type of pick the Dolphins or Rams or Eagles can make. High athletic ceiling but the floor is the basement. Then again, they are where they are by not making dumb picks. If you're going to take a guy basically solely on athletic upside, make sure he's no in his mid-20s already. DJ Johnson is basically the same age as Brian Burns who is entering his 5th NFL season. There's only an 18 month difference. Marinate on that. That's not the type of "upside" pick you want to gamble on.

What is most depresso g is that we've been at our absolute worst since Tepper started to "put his stamp on the football side of the house" after focusing on the business side first. The stamp:
