  1. While Fitts doesn't deserve any credit for it we're currently 5th in the NFL in sacks. Rushing the passer isn't our problem. Hell, pretty much all of our problems revolve around the offensive passing game.
  2. Ironically, this franchise has always been way more adept at finding pass rushers than WRs.
  3. So fuging dumb. I've gone to plenty of games and have generally had pleasant banter with opposing fans. Just let the dickheads get themselves tossed out.
  4. Hindsight is always 20/20 but in hindsight the obvious answer was to pay Reddick (a lot less than Burns would require) and take the haul for Burns. Oh well.
  5. Every great player who wasn't drafted highly "had 1st round grades" in retrospect. Funny how that works.
  6. These people have made entire careers out of constant controversial hot takes to get shares and reactions. It's just not worth any attention.
  7. I said at the time if you're going to make this trade then you have to dedicate yourself to building around this QB, whoever you're taking. You can't allow your only proven WR to be a part of this trade even if it means giving up a defender with higher value. Maybe you end up landing on a deal of something like #9, Brian Burns, and a couple of 2nd instead of the additional 1st. But DJ Moore couldn't be a part of that trade. Not for a QB and not considering the rest of our WR roster.
  8. I don't pay any attention to professional trolls and would suggest everyone else to do the same.
  9. It was always utterly baffling to trade our only proven WR as part of a package to trade up to draft our QB. When I saw the news of the trade come scrolling across the ESPN ticker while sipping a beer at Ass Clown Brewing (how prescient of an omen that has been given how Bryce has looked thus far) my very first initial reaction was, "Okay, well who the fug is this kid gonna throw to?"
  10. I've about lost all confidence in this current crew to evaluate the WR position. Not that any former Panthers crew was any better at it. By far the best WR in our franchise history was a diamond in the rough of a 3rd rounder that I bet if truth be told was primarily drafted for his return capabilities.
  11. If Cam's shoulder doesn't fall apart and Luke doesn't develop a glass jaw we're still basking in the glow of the golden era of Panthers football. Instead, here we are. Talking about bygone what ifs in September. We'd start talking draft soon but why bother after that Bryce trade? Bryce is either an elite QB or we're good and proper fuged for awhile aside from hitting on some really lucky non-1st round draft picks.
  12. Nope. He legit thought he was supposed to line up behind the RG. . Y'all are missing the point. The point is that his head was spinning so fast that he lined up in the wrong spot. It happens. It would be comical if he was playing well and otherwise looked good.
  13. I just left it out because there's so much chance involved in turnovers that two games seems too small of a sample size to discuss it unless you're just turning it over in droves - which to be fair we could be if it wasn't for dropped INTs.
  14. He also had a DPI and probably should've had another on the long catch. They probably saw other uncalled penalties on tape and let's be honest, Carr was awful last night and was probably missing guys when Henderson blew coverages
  15. I honestly have no idea. Either way, you have to sell it as a consensus decision. Kinda like how every draft pick was the "best player on our board". I mean, you can't exactly admit that "Look at our roster guys! Cmon! We were desperate so we made a huge reach and we're praying it'll pay off despite the long history of huge reaches saying it almost certainly won't." That was the DJ Johnson pick.
  16. The list of Heisman busts in the NFL is a long one. It means you were a great college player, it doesn't mean anything on the NFL level.
  17. Where did I mention Bryce? I simply said we can't effectively pass the football. That can encompass all factors be it QB, OL protection, receivers, play design and situational play calling, etc
  18. There's still a glaring category that's sticking out and it's the passing stats. Considering our complete inability to pass the football our running game has been great.
  19. The D was dominant last night until they started wearing down late.
  20. The Carolina Panthers' current rankings in the NFL through week 2... Total Offense Total yardage: 28th Total points scored: 30th Yards per play: 31st 1st downs: 28th Passing Passing yardage: Dead last Completion percentage: 28th Yards per passing attempt: dead last Yards per reception: dead last Rushing Rushing yardage: 9th Yards per attempt: 4th Defense Total yards allowed: 8th Points allowed: 13th Yards per play: 8th 1st downs allowed: 10th Y'all, the numbers scream it. There's a very glaring massive problem with the Carolina Panthers' right now and it's our inability to effectively pass the football.
  21. You just need a good lecture about reasonable expectations. You see, being a Panthers fan is about not expecting to win or even to look competent. You just gotta be happy to be.
  22. We honestly to do a better job of getting everyone involved on offense. I don't care who gets us going. But yes, given our struggles throwing beyond the LOS, our most dangerous guy with the ball in his hands would be a good person to focus on. I don't know why you're running screens to Thielen when you have a guy like Shenault.
  23. It was a gift of a call that I'd be pissed about if the tables were turned. That ball wasn't catchable.
  24. There's minimal cap savings releasing him next year. He'll be back.
  25. Definitely odd. Brown seems like a pretty mild tempered guy. Definitely not a guy I'd want pissed off enough to come after me.
