If Nebraska would run play action on 1st down I'm not sure there would be anyone in coverage considering how reliably they're running it on 1st.

I'd feel more comfortable back in the BCS days when margin of victory was a factor in the formula. The blue chip teams would just pile it on overmatched teams because they couldn't afford not to. You had to win every game as big as you could.

Nebraska is gonna have to score some points because it feels like Colorado is going to if they can stop shooting themselves in both feet with penalties.

He's just not an NFL caliber QB. If we don't end up putting him on our PS he might be done. At least his NFL cup of coffee should provide him with a nice financial boost in life but he's gonna need a plan B long term.

It's my understanding that the Bears basically told us the player was gonna be Moore, Burns, or Brown. We chose Moore because we saw WR being the easier position to replace.

This is the Huddle. If you're not a top 5 WR at worst then you aren't a #1 WR. a true #1 NFL WR is a mythical beast on the Huddle which is weird given our fairly sorry history at WR.

That's generally how it goes for #1 overall picks. Plenty of ROY QBs had an ugly W-L record as a rookie. Cam set the league ablaze as a rookie and we won what? 6 games? Bryce should be going into a considerably better situation than most #1 overall QBs since we traded up from #9 instead of legitimately being the worst team in the league last year.

He's the #1 overall pick that we made a trade mortgaging our future on. Like it or not, he's being asked to carry a heavy load.

It'll give us a lot better idea than preseason.

We have a new staff and a rookie QB. It's all anyone has to go off of right now. Come Sunday we'll have a much better idea of where we currently stand, for better or worse.

If I had to venture a guess I bet that's what this tweet is all about. I was kinda interested in going until I saw that tickets for me and my wife would be nearly $180. If it's not selling well, it probably has more to do with the cost than it does dampened fan enthusiasm. I mean yeah, we looked like crap during the preseason but we still have an all new staff and a #1 overall pick at QB. There's still a lot of interest to see what we look like when the games actually count. But if I'm looking to spend $90 a person to go to a Panthers related event and I'm choosing between a kickoff party or an actual game, well I'll go to the game. Not trying to poo on Roaring Riot here, just being honest. I have no idea what their costs are on this thing, maybe they're charging what they have to charge to make this thing work as planned.

I'm not surprised. We looked truly uninspiring in the preseason. Honestly, I'm not excited but I'm not checked out either. I just have absolutely no idea what to expect so let's find out. That's pretty much my mindset at this point.
