Texans swing a trade and now they're back on the clock at #3? Damn.
-
Seriously

So all that CJ Stroud noise coming down the stretch was just that... noise. Texans take about 30 seconds to get their draft card in at #2.

I don't think Bryce got that pant suit in the men's department. -
Who are these random D-list celebrities screaming like carnival barkers? This is just embarrassing.

They're holding the draft in a tent in what looks like a city park? fuging Kansas City...

I hope Richardson ends up in the AFC.

REPORT: Anthony Richardson was Panthers QB #2
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been saying for awhile now that I thought it might have come down to Young vs. Richardson much more so than Young vs. Stroud. Elite mental tools vs. elite physical tools. -
What could've happened in 2011 to cause this trend to start spiking? Hmmm... I wonder.

This would move would fit like a glove.

If we'd picked a second QB last year we wouldn't have had to trade up to #1 this year. But nah, it's time to fully commit all of our QB development resources. This crew has already pushed all their chips in on this deal.

If we pick Levis I'll join you.

It's quiet now but there's consensus among the mod team. We've been giving plenty of leeway leading up to the draft but after the draft it's on.

Honestly though, Cam speaking out for Young makes me feel better. I really don't think Cam is the type of guy that would just play ball for the Panthers to endorse the guy they were picking.

A feral cat by the house had a litter of kittens. I found them while I was fencing in our pasture on Saturday. I set up a game cam to keep an eye on them. She moved them yesterday but abandoned one. I waited about six hours. She came back to eat some food I'd left out for her and still left this kitten. Damn it. Now I gotta take it in. So I ran it to the vet to see if anything was obviously wrong with it causing her to abandon it and she said there was nothing obviously wrong. So I'm feeding this thing every two hours and getting it to go to the bathroom and good lord. I'm not even a cat person. I just have a soft spot for animals. I have a Rottweiler and a pit bull who hate cats so I have no idea what I'm gonna do with this thing long-term if it survives. Evidently nearly half of kittens abandoned this young didn't survivor even when being cared for. We'll see. I'll do my best for this little bugger. It cuddles with one of my daughters small stuffies to sleep.

I don't think we're picking at 39...
LinvilleGorge replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Certainly makes the draft more interesting from a pure entertainment perspective. You feel like we could potentially be on the clock at any given moment. -

LinvilleGorge replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been saying for a while that I can't see a wheeler and dealer like Fitts quietly sitting on his hands from #39 all the way to #94. It's just not his nature. He's gonna get antsy. I think he gets back into some day 3 action too. I don't think he's going to let his draft end before day 3 even gets going good. -
Adam Thielen OTA press conference...
LinvilleGorge replied to therealmjl's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, good to hear a guy with Thielen's experience talking up TMJ. Really hoping he makes a leap with better coaching and (hopefully) better QB play along with more opportunity. I honestly think our relatively conservative approach at WR this off-season might signal that they new staff sees significant potential in our current young WRs to develop.
