This would be my stat line as an NFL WR.

Let me just say that if Jimmy G continues to play well and the Niners extend him and shop Trey Lance... no. Just no. Hell fuging no.

It's just scary to go all in on any one player. A huge contract is one thing. A huge trade is another thing. But the combination of the two is all in. If that guy underperforms or gets hurt you're fuged. No way around it.

Panthers - Broncos open up 35.5 over/under
LinvilleGorge replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't see any chance for this game to get to 35+ points without some defensive and/or special teams scoring. -
If you're a Browns fan, after the preseason you were telling yourself Watson just looked terrible because he was distracted and it was preseason. But after watching Russell Wilson look like Jimmy Clausen in Denver you gotta be straight up shitting bricks at this point. These teams are completely fuged if these QBs they've mortgaged their futures on don't yank their heads out of their asses.

This. He's a helluva player but we sucked with him. We needed the draft capital more than we needed him. Just the reality. We aren't going anywhere until we find a coach and a QB. Getting draft capital out of CMC was the right move. And honestly, I look forward to seeing what he does with a better team, organization, and coach.

Quote ‘DJ needs to catch the balls when thrown to him’
LinvilleGorge replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Everything about the offense is broken. DJ has hung tough through bad coaching and had QB play his entire career but he finally looks like he's had enough and checked out now that he's secured the bag. -
Matt Rhule joins GMFB Tuesday & Wednesday
LinvilleGorge replied to Ocpanthertew714's topic in Carolina Panthers
To salvage his reputation to land a decent college gig. I wouldn't expect anything juicy. Basically just how the structure of an NFL organization interferes with The Process which is ideal for a college program. -
D-Jax might be done and I'm honestly not sold on Horn's durability. We could use more depth there. I'll want for a legit sideline to sideline deep FS until we have one. Deon Grant is the closest we ever came.

If season ended today which QB would you take.
LinvilleGorge replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, I guess Tepper wasn't the worst possible outcome after all. -
Is baker the worst QB we have had?

Agreed. If he was 6'3" 220 there would be no debate on QB1. -

Seriously. Russell Wilson pretty much looks like Baker Mayfield and that's horrifying for the Broncos given their investment in them. They're fuged for the foreseeable future if Wilson can't remove his head from his ass. At least we have minimal investment in Baker and no contractual obligations beyond this year. -

Yeah, average starting NFL QB and average NFL OC and this is an average unit. The massive deficiencies are at QB and OC.

Evidently we seriously considered it. -

5'10" to 5'11" based on pics of him standing beside folks of known height. Kenny Pickett was 6'3" at the Combine. -

I honestly didn't understand the move for Wentz. The dude was obviously washed up. Had the known they could get a Howell in the mid-rounds I suspect they would've rolled with Heinicke. I mean, they flat out admitted to basically just drafting Howell because they thought the value at that point was absurd. -

He is not 5'8". I bet he measures in around 5'11". -
A decent QB and OC would make all the difference. Yeah, our TEs are trash. Our overall WR group is decent. Our RBs are decent. Our OL is good. This is an average offense with an average QB and OC. It would be a borderline top 10 offense with an elite QB and OC.

No. Heineke is a solid backup. I don't think it's an awful idea not to force Howell into action before he's fully ready. Especially given that Washington OL. -

Another inch doesn't make a difference. At least that's what she said. -

LinvilleGorge replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
I bet you wouldn't see a huge difference in OL and DL average height/length in the NFL vs. high level P5 college teams. -

I'm far more concerned about his slight frame than his height. Seahawks Wilson and Brees didn't have any issue
