  1. You're not reading. This isn't about his college performance. It's about his NFL prospects. The Golden Calf of Bristol was one of the greatest college players of all time. That didn't mean he was a great NFL prospect. Hunter is an elite of the elite NFL CB prospect who was a great college WR too based primarily on absurd physical talent and just natural ball skills. Could he be an elite WR if he focused on that? Honestly, probably. But in terms of him being the best WR prospect in this draft? No. His skill set is just way too raw as a WR. He just looks way more natural and instinctual playing CB.
  2. Richard Sherman got dog piled for basically saying he didn't stand out as a WR prospect but looked elite as a CB prospect. A few months ago you could find other players commenting on his limited route tree and raw route running but the search algorithms are flooded with love affair right now. The guy is the best CB prospect in years and he'll contribute on offense too. That is the absolute opposite of a knock on the guy. It's just the people buying into him being a full time two way player in the NFL like he was at Colorado who gets their panties in a wad over just stating the simple reality that he ain't gonna be a full time two way player at the NFL level with 17 games seasons and no Travis Hunter fan should want that either if you want the guy to make it to a second contract.
  3. Yeah, there's really no quality media coverage of this team but I mean, I guess it's understandable. Bad, small market team and virtually all legacy media is dying out already? I mean, not exactly a recipe for getting quality coverage. But yeah, you'd think somebody would try to follow up with the team on this issue. You have your most recent top draft pick who struggled with catching the ball as a rookie who openly talked about likely needing off-season surgery on his wrist to fix a lingering injury issue and evidently no one covering the team has thought it worth their time to try to get some clarification on the issue.
  4. Yeah he's an elite NFL athlete. His route running is raw as hell because he's a CB playing WR. He's a plug and play CB. He's an elite project as a WR. He's going to be a a CB with a package of plays as a WR.
  5. He's nowhere close to being the best WR if you listen to people who understand playing WR at the NFL level. He was basically just an elite NFL athlete feasting on playing against college competition. He wasn't winning with technique he was just being a lot better athlete than the college DBs. He's an NFL CB who will likely have a handful of plays drawn up for him to contribute situationally on offense, half of them likely just using him as a decoy.
  6. IMO, The Draft Network has the most comprehensive breakdowns. Now with that said, in hindsight a lot of them are going to prove inaccurate no matter what source you're using. There's always going to be busts and steals in the draft.
  7. Selfishly, I'd LOVE to have Omarion Hampton on this team but after paying Chuba and spending a 2nd rounder in a trade up on a RB last year I just can't justify doing the same again. Hampton won't be there at #57.
  8. True. But it's because he'd pick Ashton Jeanty and fug picking more RBs in the top 10.
  9. Ask David Tepper's opinion then do anything but that. Call Hurney and ask him while he likes on the 2nd then definitely don't draft that guy. LOL
  10. There's several good college kickers. Wouldn't mind seeing a 7th rounder spent on securing one.
  11. They're on the QB struggle bus Mt. Rushmore along with the Bears, Browns, and... hmmm... who would be #4... maybe the Lions? I mean, they did have Stafford but they never accomplished anything with him and then he immediately won a SB as soon as he got traded. LOL
  12. It's honestly not that hard to convince me that Joe Burrow might actually be the best QB in the league he just plays for the Bengals. What Mahomes experienced in the SB Joe Burrow calls just another Sunday. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19p8H59Dbg/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v
  13. So was Matt Kalil. At least that was the narrative heading into the draft.
  14. If there's one thing for sure about the draft it's that there's no such thing as a sure thing. Unless we're planning on doing something else with Icky I'd be fielding calls to move off of that pick.
  15. No. fug no. Garrett is a STUD but we just have way too many roster holes in large part because of another massive draft capital trade we made. We'd have half a decade of premium draft picks tied up in two players.
  16. If Carter and Graham are gone and you don't think T-Mac is a top shelf #1 then I hope we listen hard if the phone is ringing.
  17. A long way to go until draft day. All these "big boards" will change a lot as the media guys get more info leaked from actual scouts.

  19. You have your 15 minutes or whatever on the clock and there's no bonus points for picking early in the clock. If the phones are ringing with offers there's no reason not to hear them out.
  20. Yeah, I do that poo sometimes. I'm fuging awful with names. It's some sort of mental block or something.
  21. If all this smoke around Jalo. walker prices accurate (and smoke around Panthers 1st round draft interests in recent years has been VERY accurate), I sure hope we see him as more of a Micah Parsons type vs. a drop back LB.
  22. That was honestly a big part of Mike Williams' gaudy stats his final year. Johnny Football back there doing Johnny Football things running around like a madman extending plays and turning practically every passing play into a scramble drill. Good luck covering Mike Williams with college DBs in that situation.
  23. Poor QB play and obviously being by far and away his team's offensive #1 threat definitely meant good opposing defenses could dedicate a lot of resources towards him. Honestly, I'm not even stumping for drafting the guy. I'm just saying he's a significantly better prospect than the Drake London comp. If you want to say he's lesser than Mike Williams, I'm cool with that. Honestly, yeah I'd have him ranked below him as a prospect myself. I just think he's closer to Williams as a prospect than London.
  24. That's an insult to Matt Doherty. At least he recruited the foundation of Roy Williams' first championship team.
