  1. I just don't understand trades like this made before you even know who's available.
  2. When everything is coming up short you.re out of gas. Our lack of depth and two injured stars finally caught up to us. Still one helluva run. Now time to finish the job, just like 2017.
  3. Allen is still the most shocking improvement of a passer I've seen from the college to the NFL. Dude sprayed the ball around like his cannon lacked any sighting system in college.
  4. The biggest issue I see with him technically is that he doesn't bring his feet with him. What I mean is that he'll go through his reads and when he sees what he likes he'll just make the throw with his arm. It's crazy how often he pulls it off, but I think NFL level QB coaching will help him a lot. He got away with it in college so they never really addressed it. I mean, you can find plays where he throws a deep out with his shoulders open and his hips nowhere near aligned. That's wild. I think his arm is even better than folks realize. Kenny Pickett can't make that throw period and Howell can still make it with just an arm throw with no body or hips into it.
  5. I seriously question their evaluation based on this line. Throwing the deep ball is by far his biggest strength.
  6. I had off field concerns about Corral but that rumored 15 Wonderlic is alarming. On the field, I think Howell and Corral are the two best. Willis has the best pure talent. Pickett is a JAG who benefitted greatly from a 5th year of eligibility. That 5th year is going to be worth literally millions to him and probably get a GM fired.
  7. Hamilton was a great college player but I'm left wondering if he has the physical tools to make the most of his mental abilities at the NFL level. Evidently some scouts timed him in the 4.7s. He might have to play a Kam Chancellor type role instead of being the next elite jumbo FS in the Sean Taylor mold.
  8. I liked the Bozeman signing and was disappointed it was only for one year.
  9. I really liked Bradbury as a prospect. Hell, for that matter I really liked Eflein as a prospect. Evidently, if you're a center prospect getting drafted by the Vikings is the kiss of death.
  10. Not surprised about Linderbaum. His measurables were honestly alarming and center isn't a high value position. Plenty of drafts don't see a single center go in R1. FWIW, I still think the guy will likely be a quality starting NFL center but he's nowhere close to the generational center prospect folks were trying to make him out to be when many on this board were begging for him at #6.
  11. Yep! Manek is a big loss no doubt, but much less of a loss than Paige was off of the '16 team. Puff Johnson showed in the championship game that he's ready to step into that role. Next year's team should have significantly better depth. Lack of depth probably played a huge role in coming up just short this year.
  12. Caleb Love is coming back! Strong 2017 vibes! Lost the 206 national championship game on a last second hail Mary three, everyone except Marcus Paige who had ran out of eligibility returned and we won it all in 2017. Next year's team will return every key player minus Brady Manek who has ran out of eligibility.
  13. Sub-250 down pretty much rules out virtually anything rural. The entire time I lived in Evergreen I was dealing with like 20 down and I was less than three miles off I-70 and right off Evergreen Parkway. I wasn't exactly in the boonies.
  14. That's honestly probably the ceiling with Pickett unless you have a great roster and lean really hard on the run. He's the opposite of what you want out of a 1st round QB IMO. If all goes well, his ceiling is probably Tannehill. Now Tannehill is a good QB but that level of QB really puts a lot of pressure on the rest of your roster. If that's a prospect's ceiling I honestly don't think you can draft him in the 1st.
  15. Yeah, I have no desire to graduate from hell to purgatory.
  16. Rivers had better mobility at the end of his career than Strong does currently and Rivers was immobile. That's real talk. Strong has the mobility of Leftwich at Marshall when he was playing on one leg being carried to the next LOS by his OL.
  17. Bigger since he went #1 overall and Manziel went 22nd overall.
  18. Oh lord. We just need to let Howell go to a decent organization and keep that 1st in our back pocket for the next coach to start over with.
  19. Weird. I've been assured by the Huddle that drafting an OT is a no brainer. OL fixed! Superb Owl!
  20. Weird. I was assured by the drafniks that they'd checked that box for the next decade plus when they took Andrew Thomas just a couple of years ago. What happened? Did they not get the memo? Just fix the OL! What can possibly go wrong?
  21. This is like relying on Harry and Lloyd not to fug up the Snowy Owl Benefit.
  22. GJBC knew the score and he was a habitual line stepper. It was Igo who finally pulled the trigger on him once and for all.
  23. You're in here complaining, so yeah. Business as usual.
