  1. You never post in a thread without complaining about something (usually that other people are posting and sharing opinions, you know the entire point of this place) and half of your activity here is just dropping poo emojis. Which is you in a nutshell. Pure passive aggressiveness toward anything that isn't a total Panther homer take. I don't know why you bother coming here.
  2. Damn. Now that's a stunning lack of self awareness being displayed.
  3. A lot of people are overlooking these very simple realities.
  4. I don't hate Darnold, he's just not the answer. I don't hate the folks who still try to convince themselves he can be the answer because it's honestly just funny.
  5. You gotta be an Olympic level mental gymnast to try to convince yourself that this crew is gonna be competitive with Sam Darnold.
  6. Man... if you have to FORCE someone to listen... yikes. If the final say is his, then it really doesn't matter. If he doesn't want to listen then he won't
  7. Brought to you by the guy who got himself hyped on both Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Darnold.
  8. I think you're completely mischaracterizing my argument here. What I'm saying is that the type of QB prospect the Huddle wants and always acts like is going to be available for us "next year" is a once in a decade type prospect that goes #1 overall. My point is that you don't have to have that guy and your odds of landing that guy are hear zero so stop being hung up on it.
  9. You think those guys (the first three specifically) don't go higher today? The QB position is more vital than ever and height is no longer the huge knock against a QB prospect that it used to be. As a prospect, I still doubt Brady would go in the 1st due to questions about his physical tools but he also wouldn't have been playing in a leather football helmet offense that limited his stats either.
  10. We're not talking about the best QBs in the league. We're talking about prospects. Not all the best QBs were the best prospects which has been my point about this year's QB class all along. No, there's no Andrew Luck or Trevor Lawrence type prospect but that honestly doesn't matter. The Huddle is only interested in those Luck and Lawrence type prospects though and you only find those guys at #1 overall and they only come around about once a decade, so best of luck landing that guy.
  11. So what are you gonna do? Pull a Hurney and trade next year's 1st?
  12. Much more proven to suck. I'll take an unknown over proven ass.
  13. This is the ending scene of Thelma and Louise and Tepper is that cop trying to chase the car down as he watches his dream team fly over the cliff.
  14. We'll see what happens there. But the point remains. If you're terrible at what you do and someone is dumb enough to pay you $19M to do it, you're a fuging moron not to show up and cash that check. It's not a praiseworthy thing.
  15. This. Look at what the Niners gave up to get up to #3 for a QB. #1 and #2 honestly we're probably practically untouchable.
  16. Yeah, I guess I'm not going to laud someone for showing up to work to rake in $19M for sucking. I mean, what would you do? Quit?
  17. He'll do anything if it means making $19M which is probably $18M more than he could make anywhere else.
  18. Oh, they're getting one this year. If Rhule wins it'll be another cast off vet. If Fitts wins it'll be a draft pick. It ain't gonna be Darnold. No one in the building can afford to risk that.
  19. I don't think this fanbase has another year in them. Trade down of possible. Then take one of Willis, Howell, or Corral. My preference is Howell but I can get talked into one of the others. This fanbase desperately needs some hope. Whether you like the pick or not, a rookie QB at least provides some intrigue and potential hope. Go ahead and fix the OL. Great. Now you win just enough games to put yourself out of reach of the QBs who might excite you next year. Like Fitterer said, at some point you have to take a swing and you have to keep swinging until you get a hit. It's time to start swinging. Hell, it was time to start swinging last year.
  20. Don't worry. There's surely to be a generational type talent on the board for us next year. It's always next year. THAT'S the year.
  21. I would've also thought NFL fans would've learned by now to stop talking about the draft and draft prospects in absolutes. Five years fe now the narrative could easily turn into how underrated this QB class was and how overrated the OT and edge rushers class was. We didn't pick a year to be shitty. We've been shitty for three years straight. This is our new norm. Welcome to the new Cleveland Browns.
  22. Yep. The only way you can take this route is if you're willing to do anything to trade up to #1 overall to get your guy. It's amazing how nearly this entire fanbase has developed a laissez faire attitude toward the ease of positioning oneself to draft a QB in the future. As if that will just work out perfectly. The prospect you want will be guaranteed to be on the board. That's just wildly incorrect. Even if you're sitting at #6 overall, in lost draft classes that prospect you really want isn't gonna be there at that spot. If you want YOUR GUY, you better be sitting at #1 overall.
