It’s not a bad question to ask. This and next years’ first and second to move up and get Stroud? Hell yea. Throw in a player if we need to, hell throw in Burns if for no other reason to satisfy the whiners still bitching about not taking the Rams offer earlier. Could be argued to be similar value if it gets us out QB.

Was gonna say the same thing.
-
Wut? This is far from certain, likely, or even a maybe. The only chance would be if Wentz comes dirt cheap and then just to bridge for whoever we draft. If he’s dirt cheap then MAYBE
-
Bozeman could not be replaced with a little effort. He is a great C and it would be foolish to let him go. First good C we’ve had since Kalil, we finally have a very good OL for the first time in about 11 years and we can’t lose the central piece.
-
I expect him to hit a 30 yard field goal with the game on the line. That should be 100%. Top % in PATs impresses me a lot less than 0% fig in pressure situations, and no not all kicks are pressure situations. A fg in the second quarter is a lot less critical than 10s left in the game down by 1.

DE, Ioannidis - Y if the money is reasonable QB, Darnold - Y if cheap as bridge C, Bozeman - AFLY (absofuginglutely yes) RB, Foreman - Y if the money is reasonable LS, Jansen - Y K, Pineiro - Y to compete against Gonzalez and let the best man win. Pineiro still needs to prove he can do it under pressure.

Interesting vid from Pat MacAfee.

Not only that, but the hater on the left that immediately blurted “no” when pat said maybe we could win a couple super bowls with Reich. F that guy -

Any chance Wilks returns in some capacity?
JawnyBlaze replied to WarHeel's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nope. I wouldn’t want him affecting our defense in any capacity. Only role I could see him not damaging the team in is an assistant HC role where his only job would be motivating and mentoring. No chance that happens though -
Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?
JawnyBlaze replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good thing Reich isn’t the GM and wasn’t for the Colts either, so those choices weren’t his and won’t be his here. -
A better one than Wilks. That’s all I care about.

God I hope not. He was bad at it.

If I was a fan of another team who might have to face us in the playoffs I’d be pissed too.
-
Well, it’s not an exciting hire but at least it’s not Ron Jr.

Report. Panthers pivoting from Shane Steichen
JawnyBlaze replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s unfortunate, but if he’s aint the guy then he ain’t the guy. Guess I’m hoping for Reich now… -
Rhule says he regrets throwing Cam under the bus
JawnyBlaze replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
We should have a “T.bow” esque auto change so any time someone types his name it comes out as “worst coach in Panthers history”. -
The only mistake I really put on Fitterer is probably trading for Henderson. The QB problems I’d put on Rhule. He’s drafted pretty well and aside from Elflein and Erving he’s done well in FA too.

Why is mediocrity so attractive?
JawnyBlaze replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sure, but not this team. -

I’d rather go 0-17 next year with a new HC that will grow and improve than 7-10 for the next five years before we start looking for another HC. I’ve seen enough of what he’s done in the past here as DC, secondary coach and HC this year to know that the chances of him all of a sudden learning how to put games away are slim to none. Not to mention keeping Holcomb as DC if he stays is its own recipe for disaster. -

JawnyBlaze replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s not hard to use the defenses he has led in the past combined with his job leading the team this year to determine his future tendencies will be the same. He called conservative soft defenses (for defensive units stacked with talent). And he’s not considered conservative because we shifted to a run first team, that was smart because our line and rbs were better than the qb. He’s conservative because of the decisions he made in the game. Not going for it on 4th down when he should, coaching not to lose, taking his foot off the gas, etc. We’ve seen this movie before and it leads to mediocrity. -

All Wilks accomplished was being better than Rhule. That’s not impressive. This wasn’t a 3-14 roster, he was a 3-14 coach. Wilks is a 9-8 coach at best. -

6-6 with this roster isn’t “good”, it’s mediocre like Ivan said. “Good” would have been beating the Bucs and not getting blanked by the Ravens (a tough but winnable game). I can understand losing to the Bengals but most of the rest of the games were winnable. Getting embarrassed by the Steelers and Bucs and Ravens was inexcusable. The only moderately impressive wins we had was the first game against the Bucs and the Lions. Beating the Broncos and Seahawks, etc wasn’t all that impressive.
