  1. Oh yea let him finish. The nah was about him maybe being better
  2. If anyone says they don’t want a QB because of where he goes to college and that college hasn’t produced any good QBs, everything else they say is utterly invalidated
  3. He played well. Also threw some really off target passes. He is who he is and he played to the high mark of his abilities today. He was efficient overall and can’t ask much more of him than that. Doesn’t change that we need to spend our top pick on a QB though heh
  4. Yea I agree with you but he had a few other good plays too. I don’t all of a sudden think he’s great or anything but he had a really good game.
  5. Even Marshall actually looked decent today. A tough drop early but had some clutch catches later.
  6. Yea we weren’t likely to lose ALL the rest of the games. This is a good one to spend one of our wins on.
  7. They dropped a couple, no more than we did. Just one of theirs happened to be glaring. I saw that one as karma though, Evans knocked his defender to the ground midway through the route, looked like OPI. Defender didn’t just fall over, Evans shoved him.
  8. Lotta people around here got proven wrong today. DJ balled out making people questioning his heart look foolish, Burns was all over the place (can’t stop the run HAH), Brown was the primary force keeping their run game stuffed, Foreman and Hubbard ran like their hair was on fire (making me look foolish for my comments about us obviously needing to spend a mid pick on a RB), OL did great against one of the best DL in the league. Even PJ played really efficient. Still had some terribly off target throws but very positive overall. Lotta heart on this team.
  9. We came out strong today but I doubt it’s sustainable. Even with this win we’ll either still have #1 or close to it. If we don’t get the top QB (Stroud imo) then the second is still a great option (Young). Based on what I’ve seen so far I don’t want Levis really. Still plenty of time to see new production that changes my mind though
  10. Hubbard has had a couple pretty runs so far. Good cut on that one
  11. Yea or like on that play when he runs right into them behind the los
  12. Yea, I was about to post similar. People tend to get stuck in past narratives. He was a little weak against the run his rookie year but he’s gotten quite good at it especially for his size. He uses his quickness and instincts to make up for lack of bulk.
  13. Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy were premium DEs, but I don’t disagree with the sentiment. They are hard to find.
  14. My eye test agrees with the analytics in this case. Seems like every time there’s pressure Mayfield would lean into it and fall over.
  15. The Athletic had an article ranking teams’ pass protection. Panthers are #6, which is very good, but terrible in one regard: The first column is percentage of pass plays that pressure is allowed, we’re #6. The second column is percentage of pressures that result in a sack. We’re last. I put that on the QBs. Baker always seemed to try to evade pressure right into the defenders arms. The last column is total pressures allowed.
  16. part one of three. I like these videos, I watch them for all QBs we might be interested in every year. Goes pretty in depth into strengths and weaknesses
  17. Four picks in the top 100, I want QB, TE, RB, MLB. The last three in no particular order.
  18. Shaq is the only one left that should go. Everyone else is critical, young and productive. Would be foolish to let go of any others. And Shaq might be a cut, doubt anyone gives a draft pick for that contracts.
  19. CMC is better than Faulk, Faulk said so himself. Put CMC on those teams back then and his records would never be broken.
  20. Foreman isn’t going to be our starter next year hopefully. Worst case scenario we sign some mid tier guy for cheap like Josh Jacobs but I prefer we draft a stud in the mid rounds, like with the 49ers 2nd or something.
  21. First round is high to me. I wouldn’t want to spend 33 either probably, unless it’s a really great one. But mid second isn’t a high investment. I’d rather spend the 49ers second on a top tier RB than a third on an average mid tier. If there isn’t a top tier one in the mid to low second, then get an average one in the fourth or so.
  22. Nah, no more high picks on RBs but I’d definitely spend a second or later if a good one is available.
