  1. No, but he does have to throw offensive lineman and TE's around to get to the qb. It's kinda important.
  2. Can a mod please replace Tet to something that doesn't offend the kids mother.
  3. You are talking about David Tepper here. Has anything he's done since buying the team been logical?
  4. Tepper to date has not shown that much patience with his staff. I cannot see that changing with age. Besides, the fanbase will be screaming for someone's head on a pike on Mint Street and Tepper will not want it to be his.
  5. We tried the fire the coach keep the GM and vice versa approach before and that hasn't worked. Tepper is now trying the hire both at the same time approach. If this fails I think he cleans house top to bottom this time.
  6. You only need to watch the first couple of minutes of each to get the gist of the reactions.
  7. I'm not sure Dan and Dave have the luxury to slow walk this thing. That defense has got to drastically improve or this pick will not cover for them. Someone will be sacrificed and the heat will be turned on. Billionaire owns do not subscribe to long rebuilds, especially those over 75 years old. D&D have the same pressure regardless of who they drafted yesterday or today and tomorrow. The basement has been found and they better get out of it this season or the boo's will be back in force.
  8. Dan and Dave cannot afford to go 5-12 again this year. God forbid they do worse.
  9. This is true. Now that I've had time to absorb what happened last night I do believe the Panthers made the right move. It has a 50/50 chance of working out for them so there's that. But if they don't do something about that defense they will not increase their win total for the season.
  10. You just proved my point. Anyone willing to trade back with us for more picks is the winner every time.
  11. But odds say you will swap a future starter for nothing more than an average backup. In playing the what if game I favor playing the odds. If my war chest was full I may challenge conventional wisdom now and then. Where they are in their rebuild they cannot afford to waste future assets on 1 player.
  12. I don't like giving up future picks on players that you may need that future pick to replace. This team is not in any condition to afford giving up drafts picks in its current state. When they build a team that can have back to back playoff appearances then we can talk.
  13. Starks went to the Ravens I think. They put a lot of work into Emmanwori before the draft so I wouldn't be shocked he he is their first choice. But they have looked into the UVA safety as well so they have options.
  14. I'm not so sure. There is a lot of guys who can play a 3-4 OLB and rush the passer into the late 2nd early 3rd.
  15. He didn't create presser on any of those plays. Someone else caused the pressure and Walker cleaned up on it. You have to look at everyone on the D-line and their impact on the play. He gets credit for the sack yes but you have to put those into context. No pressure in the middle he cannot get home. The qb holds the ball too long he gets credit for a sack because someone else forced the qb into him. But that has to be taken into context or you get another Burns. He is good no doubt but not as good as one thinks.
  16. Pass on trading future picks. No on offering future pics. Stay put or use late round pics in THIS draft only.
  17. I commented on that particular play. If you want me to breakdown those pressures and sacks please post them and I will.
  18. It's definitely a huge gamble with Pearce Jr. But Walker is a good pick that will haunt the team for a long time. If Pearce pans out then we are in trouble.
  19. Not really. A lot of them think they overdrafted and paid too much for Pearce Jr. I can agree with most of that.
