He's a MLB for a 4-3 defense. He will great in a 4-3 but not so good at OLB in a 3-4. He can be a great strong side linebacker as well. Just my perspective from evaluators.

Oh I'm not saying he's not good. He would do well here I'm sure. But Dan is building from the inside out and DT is where he's going to start. They are looking for a difference maker in the middle first and foremost to pair with Brown, not just a body. They will look for an edge on day 2 where there are more guys who fit the 3-4 defense. There are plenty of great options on day 2.

You may not be aware of this but Nolan is the best defensive player not named Hunter and Carter for what it's worth.

That's probably too high for Golden but I would not be against it. Unfortunately I think they are committed to going defense on day 1.

This is a draft where 1 pick can throw everything anyone predicted out the window. I do not think the Panthers are locked in on one player. I think that is the same with every team. There's so many options available that you just take whatever is left among the discards that suits whatever you need. The talent on day 1 is really that even.

I would love to trade back with Dallas for their 2nd and give them their 4th back. But I would be willing to swap 2nds if I had to. I really prefer to have 2 2nd round picks however.

It will depend on how the weigh him against their best defensive player. He would have to be rated higher on their board for them to take him instead.

I think EZ comes into play if they can trade down. It also brings Emmanwori into play and secondary help is second only to pass rusher.
