I would not touch Sanders. I think most teams feel the same way.

Chris Simms: Jalon Walker is the most overrated player in the draft
Jon Snow replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Get back to me when he does something in the nfl. -
Yeah, I really want to improve our 2nd round pick this year. The drop off after around pick 45 to 50 is noticeable.

Chris Simms: Jalon Walker is the most overrated player in the draft

None of these players coming out will be top 10 at their position right out of the gate. None probably will be by the end of year 2. I think you are expecting too much. -
Still don't like it. That's dropping down way to far. If they can stay in the top 12, maybe top 15 I could get on board.

Trading with the Broncos does not improve our second round position which is the main goal. Without a higher second pick the trade is pointless. Forget a future 1st as it will be at the bottom of the 1st round next year.

I don't care about class value. If anything that would make our pick more valuable because we are dropping down out of the running for best players. No, the Broncos offer is not enough for me.

That's not enough.

Something had to trigger a D-bag move. It's usually something of equal D-baggery. Something like that doesn't come out of nowhere.

I'm sure there's more to the story. But yeah, on face value that is pretty disrespectful.

The Panthers suck. The fans suck. Tepper sucks. Pretty much business as usual.

I think we all have the same sentiment.

Those guys you mentioned are ILB at the next level. They will be really good too. We could use any of them and like you I hope we can get one of them later on in the draft. The teams need on defense is great than the amount of picks they have. If they are sticking with the 3-4 base they will need another ILB and a OLB that can play DE in 4-3 packages. The front 7 is far from complete and the secondary will not get every need addressed this offseason. The talent is just not going to be available when we are picking I'm afraid.

They have to be able to read and react in either position. It depends on down and distance, assignment yada yada. I will say that I'm shocked in the reactions from Panthers fans to an undersized linebacker given where the Keep Pounding chant came from. It's not the size of the dog in the fit. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

When I heard the evaluator call him a safety I did a double take. I hadn't even considered the position shift in the nfl.
-
I'm hearing he may be a safety at the next level. I guess it is a team specific plan I'm hearing.

I'm not so sure they do. I could be reading them completely wrong but I would be shocked if it's Williams. Membou would be a better selection over Williams if they are looking at the trenches. Williams needs a lot of development as a pass rusher. Dan is serious about production mattering in the end and Williams doesn't have it yet. It's one of the reasons they want to trade down. I seriously doubt they will be able to so it is going to be a wild 1st round.

[The Athletic] Dane Brugler's 2025 7-round Mock Draft
Jon Snow replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's that or a 3rd round TE. The TE from The U is an option in the 3rd if he makes it that far. -
Dart and Mykel Williams will not be in the Green Room on draft night. Wonder if they have been told something?
