You seem to care more about how the books are kept than what the value of the contract is. He is being paid an average salary of 12.5 mil a season for 3 seasons. I'm not sure why you are focusing on his last contract is no longer in play. The past signing bonus has already been paid. I couldn't care less how its accounted for on paper.

He was going to get that for this season anyway.

The math is rather simple folks. 8+29.5 = 37.5 37.5/3 = 12.5 per It's not complicated. Add 2 more years makes it a 3 year deal.

It depends on how they draft. Draft well enough and they may not have to pay "everyone". They have to choose wisely in that regard. We need enough depth to allow for the possibility of having to let someone walk occasionally. Something the past GM's didn't quite grasp.

As much as it pains me to say this but I tend to agree. If the choice is JJ Walker or Grizzly Adam's I suppose I'll have to take the fuzzy.

Bingo! We have a winner. For this team, and this team only as IDGAF what others do, the battles have always been to move up the depth chart. You see it kinda goes like this, 3rd stringers have to earn reps on 2nd team, 2nd team have to earn reps with the 1st team and the 1st has to hold onto their spot. I think you can determine rather quickly who is in danger of losing their spot on 1st team. After that it's decided by game tape. Darnold is starting no matter what. Just like CMC and the lot.

From where I'm sitting the top 5 in no particular order is Moton, the 2 rookies, Paradis, and Delay. Who backs them up? That is the question that needs answered. Irving and Elfin are in there somewhere so that's 7. There will be 2 more spots I assume up for grabs. Who you got?

By my count it's been reported he's had over 100 snaps against 2 teams 1st team defense, more if you count his own. That's more than he would get in 8 preseason games let alone 3. Just because you did not witness it does not mean it did not happen. Fans need to chill.

I must've missed that. Makes sense if they keep fewer TE's in the roster and want to keep them healthy.

Neither and both, for another season at least. I seriously doubt they will find an upgrade this late in the year. So it's ride or die with this rag tag lot. As for the future? It obviously will come in the draft or via another trade if it's not on the roster already. I feel confident that Fitts will not stop looking until one is found that's for sure. Let's all hope there is something in Sam that the rest of have failed to see because team sure believes that something is there. I'm getting drunk either way.
