So we are undefeated in a sense. Hang that Banner, Tep.

Except he is about 4" taller, I think

I think the Cats from the Queen City will win. Mark my words.

We should call the other 2 "Ways and" and "Aircraft" then.

Full Disclosure: My son went to UNC and am a UNC fan in the ACC. Not a homer, not a lunatic. I was a huge fan of Ickey (NC State) and my favorite ACC basketball player of all time is Grant Hill (Dook). If Drake Maye were eligible, he'd be the #1 QB in this draft. Discuss.

Kiper has made a good living researching college players. He sucks, however, at predicting their success at the next level. I think the Huddle can do better.

Funny, but I am good friends with his high school English teacher and got to know Brandon because they stayed friends over the years. I used to get some info from him (usually indirectly from a mutual friend) on occasion, nothing earth shattering, but I would share it on the Huddle and there were times when I was attacked and kinda insulted by Huddlers. I used to laugh about it--but since I would never reveal the source, it became a running joke--I would read the comments to my friend and he would belly laugh at some of you (I will not share names at this time). BB is a great guy, and in my opinion, he made Marty seem smarter than he was.

And a lot of Burns' success this year is due to the outstanding hustle and effectiveness of Brown at DT. You gotta pay him too (soon).
-
Burns is 24. If you think about it, most of our DEs (Hardy, Johnson, Rucker) were STs until the third year. Peppers was the exception. Burns is about to explode as a pass rusher, and he will be good until he is 34. DEs like him are hard to find. You have to pay the man.

RBs peak around 26-27. CMC is 26. He has been injured. While I see him lasting a bit longer because he can catch, as a pure RB, his days are numbered. To me, I do not see why any RB gets a second contract. The teams rarely get value in doing so. Think of RBs like college players--four years and graduate them.
-
It did not hurt the bidding when the niners knew that their rival--the Rams--were in the hunt for CMC.

She is going to write a song about breaking up with BOA Stadium now and it will humiliate us among the 12-16 year old female demographic. Do you know how many words rhyme with "turf?" It is inevitable.

2020 draft tons better than the heralded 2021 draft.

Rams Offering Two (Future) Firsts for Burns
MHS831 replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
Since next year's draft picks are basically worth a drop in 1 round value, the Rams basically offered a second and a third rounder for Burns. -
Trading Burns would be stupid. He is like 24 and just starting to find his groove. he will be a stud for the next decade.

WWE wrestler takes shot at Panthers and Charlotte
MHS831 replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
Since our public schools seem to be heading down the toilet, thank God we have things like pro wrestling, reality TV, and contemporary music to stimulate young minds. -
He had a good running game, good OL, good WRs, and a good young (developing) defense. I see your point--that is the only explanation I can provide---it really is baffling. Maybe Tepper needs to let him move into the stadium.

Try BOTH index fingers. works for me.

Welp.. Levis, Hooker or McKee come on down.

Getting really tired of Jacksonville and Detroit hogging all the first overall draft picks. They should have pro bowl rosters by now -
Each year, there are 31 losers in the NFL--that is how I see it. Winning a few games to achieve mediocrity does not make you a winner. So if you losing leads to winning, isn't losing simply a part of the process of winning? If losing gives you a franchise QB moving forward, and a franchise QB is necessary to win in the NFL--and if winning a few meaningless games causes you to miss out on that QB, are we really smart to pound our chests about being winners when we are 8-9? I think the smart thing to do is try to win while developing your young players, making winning unlikely. Look at the day TMJ had yesterday--progress. Bozeman? Progress. I am liking what I am seeing from our LBs. the RBs looked good. Yes we won, but TB was putrid.

here is how you need to look at it: Half of the first rounders bust. 2/3 of the second rounders bust. For Burns, I would need 2 first rounders (Eagles) and additional picks (Chiefs). Forget the Rams--they don't have any first round picks until 2035 or something--but the Eagles are in position to make an aggressive move The Chiefs could surrender a first in 2023 and 2024 and they also have about 11 more 2023 picks--two third rounders. I would take the third rounders in 2023 and the two first rounders. The Eagles have the Saints first rounder in 2023 and what will likely be a pick around #30. If the Panthers get the Saints pick (likely a top 10 pick) then I would consider taking both picks or the Saint's pick and a bunch of other picks.
