I get that-I really do-but I think they really need to get to Corral while they have a chance. He will be buried this season as the #3 and they have some huge decisions to make about the QB position this winter. But to your point, by the second half of most preseason games, you are getting practice squad hopefuls, so it may be more harmful than helpful...

QUESTION: WHY? You have 2 NEW QBs, a NEW OC, a NEW offense, and the real impact players need reps. I hate Rhule's cockiness and his stupidity. He Knows what Darnold is about, and PJ does not even belong in the league (below 50% completion rate).

It is nice to have gone from 1 startling T in 2021 to 3 starting T (caliber) in 2022. Through a 17 game season, that could be huge.

Westry's play went Southry.

Saturday Scrimmage Play by Play and Observations
MHS831 replied to firstdayfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah--I think it is a weakness. We have some decent blockers, but I would hardly see any of them taking focus off a WR or keeping a team from blitzing. -

Awesome job, OP. -
Some of Rhule's "Senior Bowl magic". How we discovered LS Fletcher.

In my view: LOCKS Ickey (LT--giving up on the idea that he could play LG) Moton (RT) Christensen (LG; swing T) Corbett (starting RG) Bozeman (C with the ability to play G) Elflein (decent at C, not good at G) Erving (veteran depth at all 5 spots--could be a cap casualty if we attempt to sign a player however) Mays (raw upside and versatile) Jordan (depth at G) Deonte gets cut and MAYBE put on PS. If they liked his development, I doubt the sign Bozeman or draft Mays.

I see Sam to the Rams possibly in the near future...
MHS831 replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
I do not see McVay wanting a qb to develop--if he thinks he has to do that with Sam. He would want a QB who fits his system well enough to manage some games. I am split on that one. -
Here is something to think about with your brains: We potentially have 3 QBs on the roster this year better than our starter last year. You say to yourself, "But silly man--one of the QBs you mention was our starter. How could this be?" I say to you, "Yes, but he is possibly better this year. He has competition. He has a better OL and OC. He has to be better than last year." "And Corral could quite possibly be the second best QB (right now) on this roster, behind only Baker."

About the WRs--If Marshall steps up, and Robbie gets the ball when he should be getting the ball, I expect the remaining WRs to fill the #4-6 spots nicely. Something that would help our WRs is a stud TE--maybe Tremble steps up

What would it take for you to be a fan of Rhule and Tepper?

I think the chances of Watson starting week 1 are about 0%. The way I understand it, the appeal either eliminates, decreases, or increases the initial decision. The NFL will not eliminate or decrease the decision. The suspension will be 6 games at a minimum, and a year (I am guessing) as a maximum. Secondly, there could still be complaints pending. This is not the publicity you advise your client to endure.

I want Ickey at LT--but right now, BC is more ready. That will change. I just think BC is going to find a spot somehow. Of course, a swing T probably plays a lot of snaps over the course of a year.
-
I think that would happen, but I would play the best LT/LG combination. In other words, if Ickey and BC are equal at LT but Ickey is the better G...
-
Damn haynes, tell me you have more than that
-
I have been saying this since the draft---BC LT, Ickey LG...Not that it is what I want, but for now, it is what I think they will do.

Good point. Just get a picture, shake a hand, and move on. Hell, half of these autograph hounds are just trying to sell crap on ebay--profiting off someone else's hard work
-
This just in: Corral intercepted his own bomb in the endzone--a hail mary--and ran it back the other way 109 yards for a pic 6.

Do kickers count though?
