It’s worse when you realize it’s Bryce’s job to call the protections -

Every QB gets sacked, all he had to do is hold on to the ball. He fumbles more than Darnold did, by far. -

Anytime he gets touched, the ball just flys out. Been that way since he was a rookie -
If I were Dan, I would give him a few more games then if performance didn’t improve, he would be benched. I would trade him before the deadline to prevent pivot back to him and start Dalton. When/if Dalton ran out of gas I would start a young guy and see what that does. I would want to make the storyline all season that we will be in the QB market and progress was inhibited by the previous GM’s pick that we tried to make successful but it was not possible.

How many games before they pull the plug for good

And the staff could care less about draft position, they care more about proving to Tepper they deserve to be here next season. -

They won’t because they need to make it look like they are making change to keep their jobs. -
Derrick Brown is the Leader of this Team

Are you sure, because I keep getting the feeling it’s Nick Scott -
Howell has potential. I think O’Connell did but he just wasn’t developed properly. Mills might be one of the most underrated back ups in the league.

Hooker is about the equivalent of Jack Plummer for those if you thinking there is some type of potential there

Richardson is just tall Bryce. I don’t think Cleveland will part with Sander, they will need him to go back and forth with Gabriel after Flacco gets injured. -

I think by mid-season he’s done. Maybe a mixture of good and bad games til then. They will trade him for nothing. Andy will play a few, get hurt. And then Hooker or Random guy they bring in to the PS will start last few games. -
I don’t really know what happens if we fire Evero though. The defense is full of his guys. I wonder if it would be a mass exodus like 2022 when Snow left. I know they were grooming Cooley as a play caller in the pre-season but I wonder if Todd Wash wouldn’t be a better option, or would Dom Capers take over?

Wharton out 2-4 weeks with hamstring injury

Every time I’ve watched him he’s all motor and no steering wheel -
Morgan doesn’t seem as bad because he’s following one of the worst GMs ever. I think it’s still too early to tell on both, it’s just been 1 season. I do like that Dan fixed the OL but I don’t like the decision to keep Evero or the lack of attention to some of the position groups. I’d like to see what this team can do with just average QB play. I think it would elevate everyone.

PFF Offense Grades: T-Mac, Hunt and Young adorn the top 3
ProcessBlue2 replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
How does one throw two interceptions, loose a fumble, have a 50% completion percentage and average 4.4 yards per attempt and only get a 71? By this logic some of these QBs should have a PFF score of 1000 this week -
We had a 13% pressure rate which was the lowest

Tepper is still pulling the strings
ProcessBlue2 replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
I disagree. If that were the case one of the reporters would have already talked about it like they did before. They talked about it continuously for about a year. I think he has legitimately handed it off but he isn’t going to sit back forever if this group doesn’t figure it out. -

What’s funny is a lot of (not all) the people who didn’t want a retread HC are the ones complaining about Canales. -Mike McCarthy- did decent up until leaving Dallas -Sean Payton- Playoffs first season with Broncos -Dan Quinn- NFC Championship Game first season with Commanders -Jim Harbaugh- Playoffs first year with Chargers but “oh no” we didn’t want them here. -
Watching 2024 week 1 Cannales Presser again
ProcessBlue2 replied to Newtcase's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was pretty quick to bench Young last time. Problem is he doesn’t have anyone to replace him with, we saw Andy slowed down a lot in just a few games. If he benches Bryce again he’s probably done, we’ll probably see Hooker before we see Bryce again if that happens. Dave has this whole nice guy thing but I get the feeling that he hates looking incompetent especially after publicly supporting him all offseason. We probably wouldn’t have seen him last year if Andy didn’t get hurt. -
Relax. We are off to a slow start.

Yeah they are really going to have to shake some stuff up. Not just for wins but to prove that this isn’t another Matt Rhule/Frank Reich re-run.
