I think he will trade for depth. I don’t think it will be a Hendrickson or Chubb but I think he’ll get a rotational guy to play with the rookies.

It makes me wonder about the 2021 meltdown that was rumored to have happened for those of you that remember.

However, if we were going to trade before the deadline, I really wouldn’t mind some OL or LB depth for later in the season.

I like DJ, but I don’t want his contract. He is still good but his best years probably already have passed by. That money can be used elsewhere.

This is what people don’t get. For him to really zip a ball longer than 15-20 yards or to get the ball wayyyyy downfield he has to set up just right and put his body into it. Which is frustrating because you see the Mayfields, Mahomes, Herberts, etc make the same throw running for their life on their backfoot. he can do it, its just harder for him to do it than most QBs.

Corbett was a better Guard than Center. I’m completely fine putting him as back-up Center/Guard for when/if somebody goes down.

The whole teams looks bad the first few weeks under Canales. I mean Reich’s whole team looked bad in 2023 but that was then. I think this new group struggles getting them ready in training camp/preseason for opening weeks.

Well I am a Bryce hater. And if we are winning let things be. I don’t care what his stats are.

I’m not saying Delhomme wasn’t better than Bryce. I’m saying the team he played on was 70% better. They were different style QBs but their stats are very similar. The only reason Jake was around that long was because we won games and usually at the last minute on GWDs.

Maybe they just put Evero’s headset on a different channel and Wash is calling the plays while Ejiro speaks into oblivion

Yeah but if you want to talk about help around somebody, Jake Delhomme had it- especially in 2003 That OL, Muhammad/Smith, Peppers, Morgan, Rucker, Witherspoon, Minter, Kris Jenkins, Ricky Proehl, John Fox, Stephen Davis, etc. To what? Frank Reich? Chuba? Leggette? DJ Freakin Chark? Delhomme was also like 30 years old and had been in the league half a decade

If Bryce’s record was flipped and he had the same performance we wouldn’t have these conversations. It all has to do with winning/not winning. Unfortunately for him, he had a big part of us not winning. Now we are .500 and he deserves the right to have a part in that as well. Train goes off the tracks again then oh well.

Look I’m one of Bryce Young’s greatest critics. But in 2003 Jake Delhomme threw 19 TDs and 16 Ints and barely got 3200 yards. We went to the Super Bowl and won 10 games by 1 score or less. And guess what, we wouldn’t have gotten there without Jake. Maybe we don’t have a Newton this time, maybe we have a Delhomme who makes you cuss as much as you cheer. And honestly I don’t give a single damn if we have a Clausen as long as we are winning games. My biggest gripe about Bryce is that we weren’t winning games, now we are winning games. Winning cures all. And if we start falling apart again then it’s whatever and we should change whatever we need to so we can fix it, but right now something is working.

I really want to win this game so that we can be 4-3, 3-0 at home facing the Bills. Especially after they lost to the Falcons last night

Scape goat. Same thing Loomis is going to do with Kellen Moore this year. He cleaned up his cap mess, have a down year, get good draft position and money, then hire the coach he wants to pair with a Top 5 pick. I think Bengals have been looking for a way to get rid of Taylor, this is their chance. This will be 3rd straight year they have missed the playoffs and he has a 48-56 record in Cincinnati.
