You still don't get it- watching you tap dance is good entertainment.... Call me when UNC or Duke win something.
-
Right on time, from the guy who's "accepted it." GTFO.
-
The why are you continuing to post? You're in here making an ass out of yourself. I'll wait..... I'm sure you can't let this go...
-
Do you have signs in your yard telling people to stay off the grass? Gee, UNC beating Duke is a past accomplishment. Stop taking yourselves so fugging seriously- it was a game neither of you had anything to do with the outcome.

I dunno guys... I watched the highlights this morning and how many times Buffalo got behind the defense and were 1-on-1 facing Raanta was a little unnerving. I counted 5, maybe 6 times Raanta was facing down a lone Saber with no help. And, let's face it, the ESPN+ crew was atrocious, the sound was atrocious and the first 8 minutes of the game was atrocious- that's why I bugged out last night. Sunday night's game- some people we know with season tix want to stay home and watch the end of the Masters, so they gave us their seats behind goal, 1st row on the glass. Wife's bucket list item checked, but I prefer to be a little higher so I can see the whole ice.

You misunderstood. I really don't care because neither of them are nearly as special as their fans believe them to be. Never mind the fact that a 47-page thread to talk about a game that meant nothing at the end of the day because Kansas won, and that's all that matters.

You're working overtime. It's okay to take a breath. And, before you call me a Duke homer or something, I grew up in SoCal, watched the John Wooden teams and didn't know anything about either UNC or Duke until I moved here. 11 NCAA titles, including 10 in 12 years with Wooden. 7 straight titles from 1967-1973. 4 undefeated seasons. 88 game winning streak; 98 game home winning streak; 38 game NCAA tourney winning streak. And he beat both Duke and UNC for NCAA titles. Who finished second in the Kentucky Derby last year? Who finished second at the Indianapolis 500 last year? Who was the NCAA basketball runner-up in last year's tournament?

Yep. Turning this one off 8 minutes in. I'll check the score later. Good night all.

The Canes picked the worst time of the season to get streaky. Going into the final month of the season with 14 games on the schedule, 7 home and 7 away, they could and should have every expectation of getting 18-20 points out of a possible 28. Good teams win the games they're supposed to win, and losing to Buffalo following a very mundane effort against Minnesota is not how a good team operates. Where were the two top lines last night? All we saw or heard from was the Staal line and some of the Martinook line. Anderson was playing his position like he was wearing concrete skates. None of the first 3 goals were screened, deflected or otherwise, it was him and a shooter with nothing in between. I hope RBA starts Raanta tomorrow against Buffalo, again Sunday against the Ducks and then the Red Wings. Let Freddie have the Islanders and Rangers. Then I'd probably start whichever looked better in those against Colorado next Saturday. There's little doubt they need the next 3 straight before facing the Rangers, which I hope they can at least split as they face them again in NY on the 26th.
-
I'm out guys. Rangers are 2 points out and will win the division.
-
I take that back.... they'll lose with their top ranked PK on the ice.
-
Canes will lose 4-2 on an empty netter.
-
Freddie has watched 3 pucks go past him with nobody between he and the shooter.
-
Jarvis got away with a 5-minute penalty.
-
Wouldn't surprise me if the 4th line wins the game
-
He leads the league with a 2.03 GAA. Nonetheless, playing down to the competition.
-
Holy crap was that weak. WTF.
-
ESPN + announcers are Buffalo guys and are really boring. And there's no one in the building- you can hear the players talking
-
Jesper Fast forehand-backhand beauty. Didn't know he had that move! GOAL!
-
Freddie hasn't touched the puck yet. That can be a problem. Canes have 9 shots, but the other Andersen is handling them with ease. Going to take some net front deflections to score.

On ESPN + and Hulu. BUFFALO, NY. - Forward Steven Lorentz may return to the Carolina Hurricanes' lineup tonight when they take on the Buffalo Sabres. #78 has been out of the lineup for a week, but skated alongside Max Domi and Jordan Martinook at Tuesday's morning skate. With Domi playing with the above duo, this would also mean that Martin Necas will return to working with Andrei Svechnikov and Vincent Trocheck. On defense the same six skaters are expected as Ethan Bear remains out with his lower-body injury. Lastly, in net, Frederik Andersen will start for a third consecutive game. The All-Star netminder is 33-11-3 with a league-leading 2.03 goals against average (GAA) and a .928 save percentage (SV%). The projected lineup for tonight's 7 p.m. ESPN+ & Hulu telecast is: Forwards: Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - Trocheck - Necas Niederreiter - Staal - Fast Domi - Lorentz - Martinook Defensemen: Slavin - DeAngelo Skjei - Pesce Smith - Cole Starting Goalie: Andersen Injuries: Ethan Bear Jesperi Kotkaniemi Scratches: Derek Stepan Last Time Out: Marc-Andre Fleury stole the show Saturday in Carolina, stopping 37 out of 38 while backstopping his team to their 3-1 victory. The Canes doubled Minnesota in shots and controlled possession throughout, but the future Hall of Famer was the X-Factor. Teuvo Teravainen scored the only goal for the home side, despite missing most of the second period after taking a puck to the face. Going For 100: The Canes have another chance to hit 100 points tonight, just the second time in franchise history that they would hit that mark. Currently with 45 wins and 98 points, both sit third all-time for the group, behind just the Stanley Cup-winning 2005-06 squad, and the 2018-19 crew. The Dynamic Duo: Aho and Teravainen both enter tonight on seven-game point streaks. Aho has four goals and four assists since March 22, while Teravainen has provided two goals and eight helpers. Need A Helper: Speaking of duos, Jaccob Slavin and Tony DeAngelo are also creeping their way up some franchise history lists, both sitting third and fourth right now for assists by a defenseman in a single season. DeAngelo (35) and Slavin (34) sit only behind Frantisek Kaberle (38) and Joni Pitkanen (40). Domi's Dominance: In 15 career games against Buffalo, Max Domi has totaled 19 points. Tonight will be his first time playing against them as a member of the Canes. A Look At The Other Side: Although they are not expected to make the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Sabres have earned points in eight of their last ten games. Including wins over Calgary, Pittsburgh and Nashville, Buffalo is also 9-4-3 since March 1, certainly still posing a threat to any club they take on. A key piece to the team's offense is Jeff Skinner, who is second in team scoring. With 50 points in 68 games, the former Hurricane trails only Tage Thompson on Buffalo's roster. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Milestones Within Reach: Max Domi's first goal with the Canes will be his 100th of his NHL career. Jordan Staal is one point shy of 600 for his career. What Are We Wearing?: The team will be wearing their white sweaters tonight.

I had the perfect vantage point to see that play develop, it was a pretty pass. But, TDA is still the best on the team, in my mind, right there with Turbo.
-
Yeah, like I said, if he gets 40-50 points a season, it's worth it. He'll get net-front goals like Vinny and the occasional wrister, but anyone looking for him to become a scoring threat will be disappointed.

Okay, I was wrong about the temps... but the rest? https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/06/sports/soccer/qatar-and-russia-bribery-world-cup-fifa.html https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/campaigns/2016/03/qatar-world-cup-of-shame/
