  1. Bassey is a scorer, shot blocker, rebounder. Everything Mitch asked for. Kofi Cockburn is another big guy like Patrick Ewing from Jamaica also. 17.7 pts, nice! Good rebounder too. There you go.
  2. I like to look at production not hype first of all. Mitch said "several" centers. "Several" It's highly unlikely we get Mobley so let's get past that and finds us some big game! I've got two. Big indeed. Plus they put in work.
  3. He's not too old to relate with the youngsters, old enough with a good enough resume for veterans to respect. He's done a good job so far for a first time head coach and has a grizzled veteran in Mitch to help him along. I think we're in a good place.
  4. If Malik decides to move on there may be a guy in New Orleans who might want to play here for one reason or another. I wouldn't mind that. We would probably be the only NBA team with two sets of brothers. Mitch is talking multiple centers though. Music to my ears Mitch. Music to my ears...
  5. "We have to look to sure up our frontcourt with a center or several centers... You would love to get some rim protection, better rebounding" "Several"
  6. Favor isn't fair. Be that underdog, leave no questions. They knocked #88 and #21 out of that game. They outphysicaled their stars despite the obvious favor from the refs. That's the only way to beat the player AND the NFLs invisible finger! Lol
  7. The outcry of Panther fans since forever. We always got the shaft in big games 49ers coronation at BofA and Clete Blakeman Bowl.
  8. Ratings shouldn't be DOWN if everybody wants to watch the Hornets. Bally needs to share, maybe people that see a third of the games may want to upgrade to cable but don't come between a team, it's profits, popularity and it's community. Back in the day every Hornets game was on WJZY here in Charlotte channel 46. Bally needs to call them.
  9. They're betting on an old format. Nobody wants to pay $200 a month for that particular package that gets you the Bally network that currently carries the games for the Charlotte market. Mind you, you are forced to pay for a bunch of channels you don't want just to have the one you watch. That's sooooo 90's. People are better off paying for some antivirus and watching it on these shady streaming sites. And they wonder why "ratings are down", part of the reason are the exclusively outdated cable deals.
  10. Bob Johnson's biggest and most lasting error was to sign away broadcasting rights to Big Cable. The Hornets originally were on LOCAL television all over NC and SC now Big Cable has taken our Hornets viewership hostage and probably won't relent. If they weren't so selfish and shortsighted they'd license out at least a third or half the games to local broadcasters throughout NC and SC. Again, they are only concerned about CONTROL, not you, so we all continue to suffer and the Hornets may continue to be irrelevant in their own back yard as far as viewership/following/new local fanship/jersey sales.
  11. Aaaaaaaaaaand.......... we're not in the postseason. Need another scorer at the 4 or 5. Really hate to call guys out but, Kentucky players all need to step up, all high draft picks, common streakiness, inconsistent night in night out.
  12. As Hornets fans we know the invisible finger when we feel it. We went through it. Miles came back as healthy as ever. SMH. Can we take advantage?
  13. To come back unselfishly, knowing he's not 100% maybe not even 85% says all you need to know when picking your ROY. Playing through discomfort and cheap shots he's still dropping 20. If these Hornets can get their groove back they'll be trouble and if LaMelo can take them there you've got to then consider this guy for MVP.
  14. When your teammate is going the f' off you can't be a spectator, you need to feed him the ball but go the f' off too!
  15. He's still new but I think he's a good coach. His roster was constantly changing due to injuries and he still kept them on task and in playoff contention.
  16. Not the same player as before the wrist. Before the wrist, All-star, ROY. After, just a mortal. He's not 100%. He's protecting that wrist and it shows. He had 0 problem scoring before, it's clearly bothering him. If he was on a stacked playoff contender he could have come back gently but since the talent doesn't always show up night in night out, and you have absolutely nobody who stays hot aside from Terry and Miles, the kid had to suck it up and play. Jordan would often hide injuries so opponents wouldn't target them. He'll be back to himself next season, stronger physically and wiser. We obviously need to add another scorer with Gordon being a ? and PJ and Monk being so inconsistent.
  17. Next year I have a feeling LaMelo will be handed the keys. A healthy Lamelo would be shooting, driving instead of constantly kicking it out. Terry is spent. This was his Superbowl season. He deserves his contract. Graham is just trying to fill in as a #1 scoring option and he shouldn't be, but he is being asked to. PJ can be that guy but does he want to be that guy? Miles does, no question.
  18. Yup, thus the cherry not being there. Having Richards, Carey Jr, etc you've got big bodies to throw at Embid. Tire the big guy. Use up those fouls. That's how Chicago used their "three headed center" back in the day.
  19. Hayward would be the cherry on top but if we got Monk and Bridges, PJ, Zeller, Biz, Carey Jr, Richards, I think we're good especially with Graham back, Rozier. We need Miles though. If Hayward comes back 99-100% and with Melo, we could beat a lot of those top teams, we're deep and don't give up and have multiple 20pt+ capable guys. Without Gordon, maybe a series win!? I'm good with that. Get a win you get a chance to beat them all if you can ignite what was there earlier in the season. These Hornets can sting.
  20. Ok, we don't want Chicago. Boston is the best road.
