Baker isn't an upgrade. He's crashed out, look at his demeanor. Sam does make mistakes but when he isn't he's moving the ball better than Baker has by far. By far.

I'm in no way saying Sam is a good QB. I'm just saying Baker is far behind Sam and it was obvious to me watching them up close. Baker was a stupid Rhule PR decision that backfired because this guy is worse than Sam and Rhule (as we guessed) had already committed to Baker through trade thus his "competition" was a damn dirty lie in the first place trying to fool Sam, the team and the public.

When did the outplaying happen because I never saw that. Matt Rhule said Baker "won" the job "won" the C on his chest I never saw a "competition". His "competition" was just two players and nobody else and Sam was vanquished by what? Bakers talent? Rhule was hooking poor Baker up. This wasn't about skill or competition it was about his collection of wayward QBs on Teppers dime and our time. Baker won't last a year, it's on to the next next year, probably a failed QB from elsewhere. Baker sucks worst than Sam Im also sure Baker has more fans too and that's OK but Baker ain't playing better football than anybody even Sam.

Forget off the court, he could really help a guy like Kai Jones on the court. Imagine if DJ had Moose or Smitty around in his ear telling him what they see, tricks of the trade like cutting holes in their shoes to make better cuts, technical nuggets that those two shared. If anybody remembers Moose was a huge help to young #89. Showed him how to be a dog out there, stiff arming, delivering crushing blocks, the dirty work is what made them special and they enjoyed it. During fanfest Sam was the only one moving the ball consistently. Sam made it hard for Rhule to play Baker until his injury. Folks need to come to the realization than Rhule doesn't know what he's doing and Sam Darnold is actually a better QB than Baker Mayfield. Just look at what it cost us to get Sam vs Baker. The Baker fans don't want to believe it but put Sam back in, this is a much better offense, INTS be damned.

I would trust Jim Harbaugh with this band of NFL misfits. That alone would change the direction of this franchise. Actually since Harbaugh was a former NFL QB and Panther I could trust HIM to play and develop Matt Corral. I think Harbaugh would have DJ and Matt looking like pro-bowlers. I'm not sure Harbaugh would play 3-4 for Tepper like Ron or Matt Rhule so there's that.

Love Will Anderson if we stay 3-4, he's like Von Miller though, a tweener at 6'3" 243. If we're getting a new coach I'm thinking switching back to 4-3 comes with that if Tepper isn't meddling, Myles Murphy is that guy at 6'4" 265lbs running a 4.52.

I only see one QB in this class worthy of a top five. Will is also 24yrs old. He's intriguing, I love his game, reminds me of Cam, but he's not a high first rounder. He went 18-26 last game which is scary.
