  1. This is why drafting an OT was imperative The Panthers drafted a CB and while he might turn out to be the greatest CB in the NFL, he isn’t a LT that does support the most important position on the field we passed on Slater who is doing just fine protecting Herbert …even with his short arms Most important position on the field, QB second most important LT apparently, just based on what has occurred a decision was made to develop a strong defense first and then go offense you want to know why Stafford didn’t want to be here. Look at the line Why would he after years of getting the poo beat out of him in Detroit the reason I am concerned about Rhule is Oline and QB. He seems to think he can put athletic tape on mediocre players, coach them up and send them out and viola, a team is born it was the third RD before he bother to draft oline we best hope CMC is back out there or this season is over as he makes up for a lot of flaws with quickness ie covers for sam’s decision making, the oline flaws etc going into the team store Monday was sad. 75% CMC, 22% the soccer team and 3% Darnold and a player to be named later
  2. I want to see what others see in Matt Rhule at the NFL level Year two of rebuild next year, year 3 of Rebuild
  3. I’ll say the same thing I said about Ron every single one of these players were assembled either this year or last year by Rhule Some drafted. Some FAs. Some he decided to retain The players didn’t drop from the sky onto the field in a Panthers uniform the buck stops right at his $65 million desk. No one else Fitterer is here and he may advise but the buck stops with MR oline has not been his priority. Plain and simple. He should not be surprised at the results. No one should
  4. disagree on this one Brian They had money. They had the space. They knew the history of those veteran players and those histories are not good one decent signing could have made a lot of difference. One decent oline man drafted vs Marshall could have made a lot of difference I hear Slater is doing well too sorry, the lines are the priority, well at least one of them is to Rhule You don’t get shiny toys when your house’s foundation is flawed You fix the foundation or you have no house
  5. IMHO Against the number 31 defense against the run, they should have taken it out a lot sooner
  6. Then perhaps, they might have used their first two draft picks on the weakest part of the team this coach has neglected the oline since he got here. He should not be blaming others and the defense for his own refusal to address it much less blaming the defense for Sunday’s Outcome playing against the number 31 defense against the run might have been a good opportunity to just go heavy and run the ball not to worry, Christian will be back to save the day with his quickness against the Vikings until the next injury if Christian isn’t out there Sunday, a whole lot more is going on besides a .5 hamstring strain
  7. Is it possible he was injured in the Dallas game? didn’t he go into the tent ?
  8. I’ve been to 90% of home games since 2001 twice I’ve seen what you describe happen in the stands. Twice if people can’t control themselves in a bathroom, that’s on the people, not the stadium
  9. Yeah he can ‘coach them up’ because who has more answers than Matt Rhule ….even if he doesn’t know the questions the process, you know
  10. What makes you think he will be available the rest of the season? …or even the majority of remaining games ? this team is once again a one trick pony on offense and without CMC that offense is abysmal thought that was the very thing Brady was brought into improve even with Dallas game, Had they not gone into prevent, the Panthers would not have racked up the numbers once before the panthers were a one trick pony with one star who was oft injured behind a shitty o line that didn’t end well All world he may be, but can’t help the club in the tub
  11. Yep abd when he gets the chance, he drops the ball signed the wrong player but hey, that Baylor connection there was not one slant or screen or misdirection of any type that I recalled seeing yesterday I do remember seeing one handoff to the left and Sam running to the right that Sam could have walked in for a TD if he had kept the ball. That play was never called again then again, I might have been ordering drinks at the bar
  12. Talk about the forum being depressing, nothing was more depressing than either the stadium in 4Q or the hotel I stay at after the game. some teams the panthers can lose to and some they can’t as it is misery eagles fans fall in the latter category. It was a miserable experience they need to learn to not lose at home they also need to learn to not depend on one player offensively and its pretty damned clear they do
  13. Maybe fans don’t believe in Rhule or Darnold or Tepper I was there today. Just like every other big fan base, it was about 25% the other team guess what, even in Dallas, that happens if you care so much, buy a ticket and show up IMHO you should be a lot more worried about the product on the firld than the fans watching it I assure you, that product offensively and special teams and perhaps the coaching staff is subpar if you can’t do without CMC then you best be drafting a replacement as he is made of glass last season abd trending that way this season.
  14. Panthers paid the wrong receiver ….but hey, that Baylor connection, right
  15. You could buy tix and attend a game…just a thought I was there today…where were you ?
  16. Panthers will win this game…probably not pretty who knows, maybe Christianson and Brown show out and the oline gets better 17 game season, it comes down to attrition coaches need to let them play…I mean if they drafted someone worse then current oline members, well horse of a different color
  17. Actually. C. Batteries. They mean business old Vet stadium, various members of different unions would get drunk and fight each other last time at the vet, not only the jail and courthouse under the stadium but there was a two drink limit….don’t ember if that was for a half or the game good friend of mine, big Eagles fan….rough place…memories
  18. Yep..when I heard this and others today…probably makes members of that unit not too motivated. I read a d heard a couple are playing through injuries they draft two…play them of course cmc’s return, due to his quickness makes them look better…until the next time
  19. Gilmore is what, 31 years old, I don’t know what I see is D Jax seems like a person reborn with a different coaching staff
  20. Young team. nfl inexperienced, coaching staff…and it showed participation awards are good for year two Come 2022, no more of those….Parcells’ ‘you are what your record says your are’…never a truer saying in pro sports.
  21. Darnold took what the defense gave him on those runs and he had a high probability of success he saw it, he executed. look, I was not on his band wagon but I give him his due he got chicken poo and he made chicken salad Stop bitching about it Defenses will now have to account for that look at the number of times he as sacked, rushed and hit. Even a Brady would look like crap with that same story for the Panthers, different year, different decade No oline No second half defensive adjustments no in game adjustments to counter in 3 qtr of course, cmc, will make aalll things better if and when he gets in the field again, for how long, who knows.
