If you have a QB that is alright but not a franchise guy, it makes sense to build up the team and then go all in on a true franchise QB. Sort of how the Chiefs did it before going all in on Mahomes. They had a good team, but realized Smith wouldn't get them over the hump. So, they put all their chips into Mahomes' basket.

In the opening, they say the Panthers drafted a backup #1 overall.

Didn't hurt me. Then again, I didn't watch past the second or third offensive series. The Running Man and now Godfather are much more entertaining.

And that's missing at least 2 key starters. That said, Coach Lee needs to start running more set plays instead of just doing pick and roll bombing 3s.
