  1. That doesn't make a lot of sense. Why would GB trade their pick in the first place? They could just demand Jimmy as part of the package and whatever else they can get instead.
  2. The talk in this thread is the Panthers like Jones more than Fields. Or at least it was at one point. I'm also mostly joking with ForJimmy.
  3. But the Panthers are supposed to like the other guy more. Maybe this applies:
  4. Probably not enough to justify paying him $40 million a year or whatever amount he wants.
  5. So your answer for taking another QB is they are crazy in your opinion if they think Darnold is the guy? I'm sure explaining that to Tepper or the press as a solid reason for taking another QB instead of a tackle or whatever would go over well. "Well you see, what happened was there was this guy on this message board that thinks we're nuts..." Why not take Jones if he is there and they need security for Darnold? Jones is a highly rated QB in this class.
  6. If they're sold on Darnold, why do they need extra security? Instead of taking a QB for security, the team would be better served by taking a player that would help protect him, give him a weapon, or since they are talking up CBs, shore up the secondary.
  7. Start around pick five. That should give you a half hour or so.
  8. And a lot of people say Brady is the GOAT. At the least he is top 5. Rodgers is not. Brady being able to alter his game and still play at a high level is a sign of how good he is. It takes more than arm strength to be a good QB.
  9. Don't forget the beer and popcorn so you can enjoy all the gnashing of teeth and other outrage.
  10. Maybe. The only thing that matters are the results.
  11. Present day Brady just led his team and won another ring. Present day Rodgers was sitting at home watching the superbowl on TV.
  12. How many records do each of them own? How many rings? How many years of high level play? Brady > Rodgers.
  13. Did Brady retire? I'm pretty sure he is still the best pure QB in the league.
  14. Eh, no. The Bucs are the current champs and should be pretty good. Then there is the Chiefs in the AFC. Plus there are the other contenders. On top of all that, Rodgers is starting to get up there in age(37 now). How quick will he start breaking down and falling off despite just winning the MVP award. Brady is the exception, not the rule.
  15. Hopefully Bally is smart enough to want to keep him. If the management is the same ones that took Steph out of the booth, they might not be. She bailed shortly after she was demoted back to the sideline and Turner came calling.
  16. It would take a lot more than a first for me to move back 12 spots and miss out on all the guys the team considers the best prospects.
  17. Fairly sure. If you remember, it was the network that let Steve go and brought in Eric in the first place. Then the Hornets gave Steve the radio job for one last year before he retired.
  18. MJ has no say in the TV announcing team. They are signed and paid by the network.
  19. If the Panthers pass on a first round QB, especially Fields, there will be a lot of angry people here.
  20. They showed him at the home game yesterday. He was still in a boot. He probably won't be back this season.
