  1. Your owner that doesn't know football shouldn't be over riding his front office and coaching staff that he hired to ya know build a team and pick their players. It's been a constant problem since he took over and since he took over the Panthers have the worst winning % in the NFL... that's why.
  2. Or worse fields turns it on, they turn that pick into 5 or 6 draft picks including at least two firsts plus draft MHJ with their own pick. Lmao
  3. No but if 0-17 gets tepper away from football decisions then sign me the hell up
  4. Because its literally known in NFL circles that he wanted Stroud. Everything else is PR bull from the team til that press conference that lit this thread up. Young was the front offices and coaching staffs QB3.
  5. It's in that article, an open NFL secret that Tepper made the QB pick over riding both Reich and Fitt who both wanted Stroud. Tepper meddles in every single facet of the team from drafting to coaching. Mind you he did all this after Brown and Reich got together and built the offense for Stroud.
  6. Kai asked to be traded and didn't show up to the optional player workouts and then kept talking about how the Hornets wouldn't trade him so he didn't know when he was going to play again. Very weird.
  7. Oh I know, I was using it as an example because Young will have to have a clean pocket to be successful, his deep throws are going to come off clean pockets and improvisation. He's not going to be able to throw very well from a dirty pocket like bigger and stronger qb's can.
  8. Yea I saw a few of his games as a rookie. Thing is he didn't get sacked much and he threw the ball down the field when it was tougher for offenses to throw. He had 3700 yards, 26 td and 28 int as a rookie... he definitely showed ton of flashes tho.
  9. PR bull. Coach isn't going to come out and say nah they didn't pick my guy I wanted. That gets released through the season like it is now. But we definitely had reports from at least scouting that it wasnt unanimous like they said it was plus all the smoke coming from the team now... I'd say it's guaranteed that Frank didn't want Young if not both him and Fitt
  10. I been trying to tell people that the scouting staff and coaching staff wanted someone not named Bryce Young. It was Tepper, then Tepper and then Tepper again.
  11. Same thing with Brees, he had to have excellent center and guard play to be successful. That's even more important with Young because he's quite a bit smaller. So in the NFL he'll have to have great guar and center play so he can have a clean pocket to throw from otherwise it pretty much eliminates the middle of the field.
  12. If the Bears can't trade with the Texans or Colts then they likely take Anderson at #1. So Either Young/Stroud is left at 3 or AR is there as a fallback. Both the Texans and Colts balked at moving up with the Bears because they wanted a player back on top of the picks. Either way you play power run with foreman and Hubbard with play action to protect the QB til you can fix everything else. 1. The line is better suited for power run instead of the zone currently being ran in carolina. 2. The qb actually has a #1 wr to throw to with DJ and a #2 with AT. "I wouldn't change picking up AT, he's a nice #2 for a young qb." Probably wouldn't change picking up Hurst either. 3. Team is down less picks plus still has its top WR and still has a young rookie QB to excite the fan base. 4. It allows the team to transition with said rookie qb and the offensive style protects the qb and leans on the defense. Open up the playbook in year 2 after fixing other areas of the team and put more on the qb's plate gradually.
  13. Take the offer for #3 instead of #1. Keep DJ, still be able to draft one of Young, Stroud or AR at #3. Likely the Bears trade with Texans instead and the team gets Stroud at #3. So #9, same second rounder and future first. Don't sign Miles Sanders, keep Donte Forman. Keep Wilks but make sure he hires solid offensive coaches. Run power run and play action and solid defense to protect the young qb you just drafted. Instantly better team. Yes I broke the rules. Lol
  14. Pass across the middle does not equal a 15 yard out.
  15. Most say his frame is 190 and that's what he already plays at. Not sure he can gain a whole lot of weight or muscle
  16. Very few owners are that directly involved in trades and picks. Very, very few... most let the football staff run everything and show up in the owners box for the games.
  17. No I'm talking about the fact that the route combinations got changed completely for the Seattle game to the point where it's obvious that the same offense wasn't ran in that game compared to the others. Or to the fact that the route combinations in that game were made for the skill position personal the team has where it's not that way in the games that by is playing in. It's really night and day, even if you ignore the results of that game. It's still a fact that the play calling in that game fit the personal on the field more than it has in any other game. I could keep going but I won't.
  18. Thomas Davis right after the trade off the top of my head but there were others.
  19. No not skimmed down, the route combinations are different for the same play calls. Go watch Steve Smiths podcast after the Seattle game. I mean shoot I noticed it.
  20. Yep it was between AR and Young in the room. I'll give you two choices on who made the qb decision and why the team didn't end up meeting AR for dinner. Bet you only need one choice though. Lol Because the offense showed up week one designed for AR and not BY.
  21. We know for a fact it wasn't a consensus pick. There were reports from solid sources that quite a few in the room wanted AR.
  22. Nah that's the DJ Moore revenge game where he goes off for 290 yards.
  23. I've read the article. Read it when it came out originally. I'm telling you it's pr speak. Look at the route combinations in the Seattle game vs the other ones... they aren't running the offense like it's designed with Young playing and it's so clear that even Steve Smith mentioned it after the Seattle game.
