Panthers sign Jaycee Horn to $100 million dollar deal
carpanfan96 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The interesting thing about his contract is how much money is tied to games played. 52’ of the 100m. -
Like Horns deal has 54m dollars tied up in games played. He gets 765k per game played from 2026-2029. 54m of his contract is tied to per game bonuses and workout bonuses. So his contract, if he has a season where he doesn’t play the full slate of games, it would give Carolina roll over cap for the following season.
-
Two types of incentives simplified. LTBE or likely to be earned. these will count against the current seasons cap numbers as they are considered likely to be earned ULTBE - Unlikely to be earned. These don’t count on the current years cap and if earned will roll into the following season.
-
Dowdle will count 2.75m against the cap, rest of his contract is incentives as far as I know. Jones will be 3-5m this year and the rest next season. Moehrig is going to count around 7m then 20, 24. So around 12m cap space.

Tankoven for the win.
-
Wharton goes from 6m to 18m to 19m, his base contract is 45m. Jackson is 3.7m and 6.8m Brown goes from 3.1m to 8m to 9.8m so they are fairly balanced minus year one, I imagine that was done to fit everyone under the current cap.
-
First year cap numbers bobby brown- 3.13m Tershawn Wharton - 6.549m Mick Jack - 3.7m Christian Rozeboom - 2.5m “fg 1.97”
-
Bobby brown is 3m to cap this year, other contracts are similar. So the big signings are going to count 4-7m this year and then go up to 17-20 next year. the one year and two year deals offer less flexibility and are usually easier to sniff out except for incentives being either LTBE or ULTBE.
-
Based on what I’ve gathered from the deals so far, the Panthers have around 10m in cap space left.
-
That doesn’t count the free agents, just the resignings and cuts.

Nice job. They are letting Wallace start. They like Jalon Walker but as an edge. His ability to blitz and run with TE’s. -

This year his cap hit is 7,350,400. 1st - 23,080,400 2nd - 22,680,400 3rd - 28,680,400 4th - 30,680,400 Fully guaranteed is 46,707,000 panthers have an out after year 2, him being cut after the 2027 season saves the team 17m with dead cap hit of 11m. -
Is it not on tv? I can’t find the game at all in Winston. Le sad
-
Moehrig is an inline box safety to help with run defense. He’s ok in zone coverage. He will help with run defense in a major way.
-
Oooh yeah forgot. Give me Tankoven. He prefers the nickname Tank.
-
Brady Christensen is back to the Panthers
-
Svechnikov like I usually do. lol
-
Yea he took a 3.5m cut in pay but can earn it back with incentives.
-
So with cap space, Jaycee’s deal created 9m in space, Tuttle restructure created 3m in space. need to see the first year of each deal to see where they stand. Team had around 29-30m in space for today’s deals.

After Brindy’s interview with Gold, I’m trying to figure out why the Canes didn’t try to have the trade rescinded or move him immediately. He told the canes right away that he didn’t want to play here and would only sign an extension with four teams.

The more that comes out about Mikko, the worse he looks.

It said Panthers were done for the day but it’s been deleted.

Crazy first day of free agency for the Panthers.
