  1. JOSH ALLEN LONG TD PASS AND RUN TO KALIL SHAKIR These late games are fuging awesome today!!
  2. I think Jerry Rice and Terell Owens came from no-name schools. So IDK how valid that argument is. I guess its valid a probability sort of way. Its statistically improbable you'd find great WR from small schools but I don't think its a coincidence that top 5 WR in receiving yards all time went to small schools. #1 WR Jerry Rice : Mississippi Valley State University #2 WR Larry Fitzgerald: University of Pittsburg #3 WR Terell Owen: University of Tennessee at Chattanooga #4 WR Randy Moss: Marshall #5 WR Isaac Bruce: Memphis I guess you can argue that Pittsburg and Memphis arent small schools? but they def were not and are not known for putting out premier college WRs
  3. The Panthers historically have been obsessed with projecting the WRs they get in the draft for height/weight/speed and overall athletic protentional and tend to ignore straight up production and eye test on college WRs. This is why we've ended up with WRs like Funchess, Mingo, TMJ, Curtis Samuel, and now Legette, among others. None of them had great consistent production in college and were viewed as projects (maybe minus TMJ who was good on LSU). The only WR the Panthers ever drafted that had not much college production but ended up being a beast was Musin Muhammad. his stats are kinda like Legettes in college in that he didnt really do much until his last year in college. Even Steve Smith wasn't insane in college but had over 20 yards per reception in his limited time at Utah. That stands out. DJ moore had DECENT college stats and ended up being good in the NFL. So that ones kind of a wash. The main trend is, Panthers almost never draft WRs that have overwhelmingly great stats in college. I can not find one WR in their modern drafting history that fits that profile. Puka Nakua had pretty mediocre college stats. I didnt watch him play so maybe the Rams staff were just using the eye test there and saw his toughness and thought it would translate to the nfl. DJ Moore + Steve Smith were the closest we ever came to this kind of a WR pick.
  4. From what I remember Kupp was very good in college but didnt play at a big school. Not sure about Nakua honestly. Kupp had incredible college stats only knock on him was that he went to a small school at Eastern Washington . In hindsight, he shouldve went very high in his draft just based on production alone. Kupps college Stats: Games/ Rec/ RecPG/ RecYds / YDpR/ Total TDs Career 52 428 8.2 6,464 15.1 73 Cooper Kupp had one of the greatest college careers from a wide receiver in FCS history. Starting with his true freshman season, Kupp dominated the competition setting school, conference and FCS records. He won the top FCS offensive honor, the Walter Payton Award in 2015 to go along with his 30 career first-team All-American honors.
  5. PUKA NAKUA WITH AN INSANE CATCH WITH 2 FEET BARELY DRAGGING DOWN ON THE SIDELINE!! We need a WR like THAT. And we got legettte dropping simple poo every game!!
  6. Crazy ass blocked punt that was returned for a TD for the Rams against the Bills. Rams are up multiple scores on Bills early today.
  7. Lately, took care of business and beat 2 bad teams (Saints and Giants). Then we took 3 good playoff teams to the wire (Cheifs, Buccaneers, Eagles). We don't have anywhere near the level of talent those last 3 had and still played close games. I sincerely believe we are 3-4 good players, more disciplined football and experience coaching for Canales and crew, away from being a very good team next year. Yea legette has dropsies chubba fumbled a game away and we can't stop the run (qbs or rbs ). But most of these issues can be resolved in 1 off-season. All of them can be resolved in 2 off seasons I see a ton of fans getting worked up about these losses. I just feel like people aren't looking at the big picture and forgetting the context of all of this. Having a high draft pick when our team is this close to competing with the big guys is not a bad thing!!
  8. Give him time to figure it out, hopefully he will!! Definitely need to draft another wr though. A guy with good hands specifically. Panthers love drafting project WRs that don't have their fundamentals down.
  9. Yeah I think we lost the game on that non catch. He has a serious issue with hands catching It's not the end of the universe because I think he can still come back from all these drops. But it's become apparent we're still in need of a WR#1
  10. Evero does not know how to defend QBs running the football. I've seen it way too many times at this point. Serious problem
  11. That interception by Bryce may have been a 14 point swing in this game
  12. That's why you don't invest in injured players. Ridiculous luxury draft pick at the time and he got re inured quickly
  13. First drive has a legette drop and a miscommunication on a deep throw to JT Sanders Same poo every single week
  14. It's a little unfortunate his first two games were against teams with stiff run defenses and his 3rd game is vs the eagles with a hellacious Dline. I think we might see some longer gains vs worse dlines
  15. Looks like a pretty cap friendly contract they could save a good bit of money cutting Chubba any year after the 2025 season Makes me think they want brooks to eventually be the bellow
  16. Only thing that kinda sucks is I'm left wondering what he could do if he got the lions share of the carries. I try to think of it this way, if one of them go down to injury we still have a very good rb to pick up the slack. Chubba has a contract lasting until the 2029 season where he'd be 30 . Brooks contract goes til the 2028 season where he'd be 25. So their contracts expire around the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if Chubbas contract is arranged in a way that they can get off it in halfway through it. Maybe this is their long term plan.
  17. Makes me wonder how different Bryce may have looked if he somehow had Gibbs and J.Williams follow him to Carolina . You can watch the Lions and see how insanely explosive they are. Not sure we have players of that caliber right now either
  18. I've been thinking to myself how this happened. I'm a known "Bryce hater" but even I can admit he's been performing well since he's came back from his benching. But this is more about why or how it came to be. It seemingly happened in a fairly short amount of time. What exactly could he have learned in a few weeks he didn't learn in over 1 years worth of time in the NFL? Does that mean his earlier performances were just some sort of mental block? I know we had problems last year. But maybe the early games this year he was mentally shell shocked and that's what caused him to keep performing badly early on? It's just such a sudden in season change of dramatic increase in ability that you typically wouldn't see unless a longer time period passed. Or at least an off season. Did Canales tell him something that sparked something in his psyche? Or did Bryce just realize when he was benched that nothing is promised and that attitude check made him lock in more and perform better? Curious what your theories are. And whether you think he can sustain it. Kinda funny how CJ balled last year and AR Bryce and Levis were down bad. Now seemingly they flipped a bit. And also with the Bears going down in flames recently. I see alot of fans up and arms saying see CJ sucks now!! I told you so !! Lol
  19. It's because of how the rules work. The refs initially ruled it as an incomplete Catch, and there was not any definite video evidence of it proving that it WAS a catch. Every video angle they kept showing showed theilens back and not the side of him where he had the ball secured. IMHO, it was a catch. But Theilen could've made it undisputable if he didn't have to double clutch it to catch it before he got his knee down.
  20. at pick 5 we could easily get the #1 CB, WR, or DE
  21. If youre drafting in a top 10 and already have an elite run stuffer, i dont think you want another run stuffer in then top 10. You can get plenty of them in R2-R4.
  22. you mean they shouldve won lol. Joey Sly came a few feet away from a walk off NFL record game winning field goal like 67 or 68 yarder he barely missed. The Colts had to score a TD late and then they had to get a 2 point conversion to win and not have to force overtime as well
  23. We lost but none of the teams that were ahead of us in draft order managed to win either. We held course for #5 overall pick thus far.
  24. Its a game of inches man. The Chubba fumble and Eddy's missed field goals were the difference in the game. Straight up.
