  1. That's where I've been for a while. I'm not going to be excited about Bryce pick unless he convinces me otherwise on the field. I'll be upset if he's anything short of great he's got a lot to live up to given how Cams rookie year went.
  2. I have been really curious about how all this information has been getting out. Is it that the staff just doesn't care that everyone knows who they're going with but can't explicitly say they're picking Bryce due to NFL saying not to? It's reached the point where its becoming redundant, it's not really news unless they flipped their opinion
  3. I don't think any of us can really blame the Panthers for picking young even if it doesn't work out, he's clearly the best in this class at processing/decison making, pocket navigation, throwing under pressure which are all important. Also succeeded with lesser talent this past season vs Stroud. It just personally irks me that he doesn't have any defining physical traits that he excels at (throwing power or running ability usually the main two), that combined with his lack of height and weight has me just fine with it vs being ecstatic like I really should be when drafting a QB #1 overall. He'll have plenty of time to convince me otherwise on the field but until then I'm basically cautiously optimistic
  4. That Zavala guy is in a ton of mock drafts I see recently. That's a pretty by the books one it's not bad. I just wish we had the opportunity to get a top tier offensive skill player to pair with Bryce in R2 or R3 but the way the boards predicted to fall in most mocks the best talent especially in R2 leans defensive. I'd be okay with a defensive r2 pick but not if it's a CB or DT. You can't let fear of injury to our CBs again make you miss on better talent at other positions in R2 imo.
  5. That was before the sea of Bryce and CJ rumors we got. I think the S2 test made a ton of Stroud proponents among panther fans flip their allegiance. I still want Stroud, I feel like his potential is higher than Youngs. I just want everyone to remember all this flip flopping here if CJ ends up being better than Bryce. I'd imagine there will be ton of people saying I told you so but conveniently leave out the fact they hopped on the Bryce train well before draft day. I really hope both of them work out, but theres going to be several years of poo throwing if the above happens. Or even if Bryce is just Mediocre or something.
  6. I feel like we really need more context for these numbers. Like the scores for several current and past QBs in the NFL.
  7. I will never understand people buying jerseys of players that haven't played in the NFL yet. You don't want to wait a few games to make sure they don't suck?? Did people do this with Teddy and Sam?? Christ
  8. I heard the Panthers were meeting with Stroud and Levis yesterday. Is there any information on what happened?
  9. I think at this point we should expect Bryce to be the pick unless we hear otherwise.. everything we've heard for several days is Bryce, it's Bryce unless it's some sort of elaborate smoke screen to make the Texans trade up I'm personally a Stroud fan but I'm not burying my head in the sand and ignoring the reports
  10. I don't think we need a new thread every time a reporter says Carolina is leaning Bryce or Stroud, Jesus.
  11. 2011 and 2016 were pretty bad from an overall perspective. Cam was franchise changing but not getting ANYONE other than him that year wad ridiculous. 2016 was insanely bad, Gettleman panic picking 3 cbs in 1 draft and a bust DT in r1. Bradbury just barely makes this draft maybe not the worst draft ever. And it's not like he was a game changer he was a solid CB (for us anyway).
  12. I did in the other thread here it is
  13. That's way too far down for a trade back from our 2nd rounder imo I wouldn't go down more than 10 spots in R2 especially given how low our 3rd rounder is.
  14. Did another one, I don't know if the Texans would really be willing to trade up but only giving their 2nd rounder to make sure they get their qb of choice will still having another R1 pick is a good deal imo. I also don't think the Panthers would do this unless Stroud was their guy and I have no clue at this point.
  15. We're already missing our original R3, R6, and R7 picks this year, R1 pick in 2024 and R2 pick in 2025, I think last thing we need is trading away more draft capital. If we really want a WR in the draft we have both R2 picks this year and next year to do that. If they can't find a good WR outside of R1 they need better talent evaluators
  16. I'd take a trade down if it meant picking up a high 3rd rounder. Having that big gap between our high 2nd and very low 3rd kinda sucks. Our high 3rd from thos year was traded away for Corrall last draft I'm not really willing to go down more rhan 10 spots in r2 though
  17. Another mock draft Sunday. One more to go before the draft
  18. Pretty much where I'm at. I'm simply more comfortable with Stroud, I'll be anxiously optimistic with Bryce
  19. I think all the WR signings in general has pushed edge rusher to top of our needs after QB in round 1. It's past time to help Burns out Any other positions are nice to have but not desperately needed like it Is for us to actually have a consistent pass rush
  20. Don't we have a returner guy too? Somebody has to be getting cut They might not draft a WR after all these moves
  21. Wow I'm impressed what Fit has done picking up WRs in free agency. We've got a pretty diverse group with Theielen, Chark, TMJ, Byrd, and Shi Smith I'm also impressed Byrd has stuck around the league for so long. I'd easily take him over Shi Smith Funny thing is he's noticeably smaller than Bryce Young is (Says Byrd is 5 foot 9 174 lbs)
