  1. There are loads of day one contributors in the 3rd round. Your delusions are not even amusing.
  2. You and me both man. I've been flying this flag for two months now. These kids are nauseating
  3. You may be right. I don't recall a 40 time and I am fairly good at doing so with players we are in for. I never really suspected him to be someone we targeted based on where we were picking and where he has been projected.
  4. A complete FS would just about seal this defense for a long time. Another LB (which JOK could also be an option in a trade up) and another DT are all thats lacking. And they aren't dire needs but could be improved for sure.
  5. Don't think anyone expected Moehrig to still be available. Most had him going mid to late first round
  6. You mean to tell me we had Cam and also didn't record back to back winning seasons? As in, having a top 5 QB also doesn't promise consistent success and you need to build a team? Right. That's also what I have been saying. If Horn was rated higher than Fields on their board then its a good pick. Because even with Cam in his prime we still weren't able to accomplish back to back winning seasons. And he was a top 5 QB in the league at that time.
  7. Telling the owner they like Horn more than his care is being "scared" these days, eh? Lol some of these posters man. It really does my head in.
  8. Physically he already pretty much is. Athletically he’s an anomaly. If there’s nothing Pitts can’t do from an offensive standpoint, that’s basically what Horn is on the defensive side of the ball. He’s a physical freak. As long as he’s willing to learn and improve his technique, sky is the limit. Because he already has the tools that can’t be taught to be an all time great. He’s fast, strong, twitchy and fearless
  9. Yes but my point is their defense was the focal point to that team. Wilson has been a great QB, but at their best it was the renowned ‘Legion of Boom’ that they were known for. Their defense was the driving force to their success.
  10. He’s got a lot of nasty and swagger in the way he plays but he also seems to show humility and a willingness to learn and improve. It’s the right balance. I was already on board with him before but as usual during the draft process, I’ve spent literal hours watching interviews with him throughout the last year. His personality is clearly another huge factor to Rhule. This guy wants to be the best CB in the league. It’s a pride thing. That is his goal. That’s exciting. I am very happy to have this guy here
  11. I’m not going to poo on this because you have a point to some extent. But if you take the Patriots dynasty (recent winners of the lowest scoring super bowl in history), it was largely defense, the Seahawks success was largely defense and the Bucs defense shut down KC and the most dynamic offense in the league in the super bowl last season. Strong defense has never lost relevance in this league. Offense has its place but suggesting elite defenses have been replaced by elite offense is absolutely not true.
  12. For me it’s Moehrig, but I would also love Owusu-Koramoah or whatever OL we have graded the highest. Probably in that order
  13. Moehrig is my ideal pick from here. I was in the Sewell, let’s get a LT camp (though I do love Horn and expected him to be the pick for the last week or so). But even with some quality OL still available, Moehrig I expected to be taken last night and is really the final piece to our defensive puzzle on paper. An insanely fast ballhawking secondary combined with our insanely fast pass rush could honestly make this defense lethal. It is still Carolina football after all. The Panthers and having an elite defense just belong together. And I think this defense is set up to be incredible for many years to come. Hoping for Moehrig now.
  14. Preach. This place is getting less tolerable by the year. The reactions in this board are ridiculous every fugging draft.
  15. Some people will likely blame Teddy for this too lol. I’m not a Teddy fan. I had faint hope when we signed him but he sucked and I’m glad he’s gone. But I always used to roll my eyes at teams that just kept drafting QBs over and over and over (Browns, Jets, Redskins etc) because that just isn’t how you team build. I think a lot of posters would ignore ever issue with the roster chasing that QB for two decades and wonder why things never changed. If you want to help a QB, give him a loaded roster. Give him a defense, an Oline, a running game. Jets might just ruin another QB all over again because they just keep taking the next prospect every few years without ever building their roster and plugging the holes.
  16. Every draft is exactly the same. Equal amounts of talent at each position ever year. Good point. People seem to forget this.
  17. Especially with significant speed from our pass rushers this year
  18. No. It absolutely does not and if you think it does then you are ignorant about how this process works. They have a board of players they think are talented and they have a set of needs. Falcons drafting a TE at #4 did not translate us taking a CB at #8 that wont even be covering the TE they took at #4 lol
  19. What they picked at #4 had nothing to do with our big board and who we took 4 picks later.
  20. Your top priorities are to bitch about the Panthers and bitch directly at a poster for no reason other than sharing her opinions and what she’s heard, huh? You really have a great way of managing your time.
  21. Why not just watch cartoon network? It might have the same impact.
  22. I mentioned on here this morning that based on Snows comments awhile ago and the way trade down talk that Horn was our guy. Saints were also looking to potentially move up and Horn may well have been their target. Whether Darnold pans out or not is yet to be determined but we for damn sure will have an elite defense in the Carolinas again in the coming years. An entire draft of defenders last year and starting the draft this year with the top rated CB. I wanted Sewell, but I don't hate this pick. Especially in a division that is absolutely loaded at WR and a roster very thin a CB.
