  1. Man you must really hate him. I've never seen someone spend so much of their time trashing someone.
  2. If you want to rank a bust, start with Canales. I put the blame for last weekend solely on him. His play calling was abysmal and the team lacked any intensity on the field. He was outcoached by a new HC with 0 games under his belt!
  3. First, those aren't excuses, those are assesments and I think they are pretty much on point.
  4. He doesn't rank at all yet as he's not a bust.
  5. Amazing. 15 minutes into the season and everyones already talking about how the season is already over - 15 minutes.
  6. Around 70% of their projections will land within 1.5 wins of the preseason totals. That's good but not perfect. A couple of notable exceptions are: 2023 Jets: The were projected for 9.5 wins but Rogers was hurt week one and went 7-10. 2021 Bengals were projected at 6.5 and went 10-7 going to the SB. That was the year Burrows came back from an injury and Chase was added through the draft. 2023 Texans were projected for 6.5 wins but went 10-7 thanks to a phenominal rookie season from Stroud. The point being, the emergence of a QB ( or decline) can change those lines quickly. IF, Young continues were he left off at AND Tet is what they hope, then the 6.5 projected wins could be another "notable exception"
  7. You didn't see the team be incompetent. You saw the 2nd and 3rd stringers playing what the sub coaches called. Nothing more. I don't think anyone really knows how the team will be at this point. I, for one, hope it is a continuation of late last season.
  8. I believe common sense says you pay more attention to your current talent level than past deals to dictact what mode you are in - pretty sure that puts us in the build mode.
  9. The problem with that is studs are rare. If we have to have a stud DT(NT) to fix our problem then we are probably doomed defensively.
  10. I hear the personel excuses - the problem is he had Burns, Luvu, Chin and Brown last year and he didnt show much then either: 23rd against the rush with Brown, Burns and Luvu at the line AND they gave up 29 rushing TDs - the most in the NFL. They also were either last or near to last with pressure and sacks. I'm not sure its so much personel as it is scheme.
  11. 1) Every free agent pickup this season is underperforming from their previous year. 2) The good players we had all elected to go elsewhere instead of staying with the Panthers (for the same or more money) when given the opportunity. 3) The team can't tackle to save their life - it has been a consistent thread throughout his time here. That pretty much sums him up I think.
  12. So the Panthers are finally showing signs that they may actually be getting good and you decide to sell your PSL's and celebrate huh. Not sure I can cheer to that but whatever makes you happy
  13. And if PFF could give out coaching grades, Canales and his crew would have had the lowest score of the bunch and it wouldn't even have been close.
  14. Well by those stats, the Falcons have the second best passing stats - that tells me all I need to know about your stats justifying your opinion
  15. I agree except for the fact he has shown improvements since returning. If he was still playing like he was previously or if he reverts back, than I'm with you. Until then though, I'll support him and hope he works out.
  16. Why? Seriously, what are the options. Try again with another QB for the 5th time and hope again. We've been playing that game ever since Tepper got here. I'm ready to be done with it. I understand your dissappointment but can't help but feel your just cutting off your nose to spite your face here.
  17. Did anyone see the Chris Berman highlights were he knighted Chuba as the Chuba Missile Crises when he scored against the Chiefs? It was great! I guess Chuba has made it to the big times. It's on X but I have no idea how to embed it so here's the link. https://x.com/i/status/1861239538753970359
  18. The main point I am trying to make is Bryce made the throw and it should have been a TD. I just don't see how you can say he was just "okay" today. Here's some of what he did: Drove down the field in 44 seconds for a score at the end of the 1st half. Led the Panthers on a 9 minute drive to start the 3rd finishing off with a TD pass to Moore. That's 10 straight points. In the fourth he drove the field leading to 3 and then on the very next drive drove the field leading to a TD to tie the game. Again, that's 10 straight points. I am not saying it was perfect - but surely that is better than just okay
  19. They also called a facemask on the Panthers when it clearly wasn't. I always thought the rumors about the Chiefs getting good calls was just that but am not too sure after today.
  20. I thought putting more points on the scoreboard was how you win.
  21. BY played way beyond just "OK" today. Tommy Tremble holds onto the ball in the end zone and the Panthers win today. I would venture to say the only reason the Panther's were even close was of his performance. It sure as heck wasnt because of the defense or rushing.
