My old job, I had a coworker who moved to Charlotte from the Midwest and her son, who was a big kid but needed to get serious with the weights, was very excited about playing his Jr and Sr years of high school football in NC. He didn’t make it thru the season, he got his bell rung big time in a practice and suffered a serious concussion and quit senior year playing FB.

I was at the Luke concussion game where he started crying uncontrollably because of a concussion. Scary stuff. My kids ain’t playing tackle football.

I agree with you but I don’t think the NFL gives AF about Tua’s health or any of their other players. Tua has a lot of name recognition, and while it’s debatable if he is a “star” he certainly does move the needle for clicks and views marketing wise for the NFLs brand new partner Amazon on Thursday night. If this would have been a Sunday 1pm game vs the Jets I bet Tua doesn’t play.
