  1. Its the NFL, there are very few sure things.
  2. I completely disagree. Dallas has one of the most balanced and best offenses in the league. I thought they would put up at least 30 against us, and they went slightly higher than. Dallas's struggles are on defense. Their run defense was not good yesterday and Chuba had a relatively good day, but we didn't or couldn't take full advantage of it as we got to far behind. Their pass defense is certainly improved over last year, but our protection/pass blocking is not good.
  3. For some reason, coaches tend not to sub out offensive linemen. And not just our coaches, but most coaches don't. I have wondered why. I suppose continuity is part of it, but it does seem that it might be a good idea to bring in fresh players at times.
  4. I believe its a learning experience. They are still very young, and games like this occasionally happen even to veteran good defenses. Personally, I am not that worried about this specific game. But if we follow it up with another loss next week, that will be a concern.
  5. Its got to be more than that. Dallas didn't really do that much differently on the offensive side. Is our staff too analytical, when there should more attempts at getting them fired up? Do they go in at half and take a few bong hits?
  6. You guys are the champions of early season again. Only 3-4 weeks until Nov, when you guys can start talking about how good you will be next year.
  7. Well, that is probably ball game. Kind of a continuation of last season, where we play well in the first half and come out cold in the third quarter. Got to get better coming out of halftime.
  8. They are playing one of the best offenses in the league. Tampa couldn't stop them and they had the best defense in the league last year. But we are going to making some plays.
  9. Wonder why we would run two high safety on first down against a team that runs the ball as well as the Cowgals do?
  10. Me to, but at some point we will have to show we can win a game in the 4th qtr.
  11. One of the things we have yet to do is show that we can make big plays during crunch time that will win the game. Maybe a little against the Jets with CMC getting a big run to cinch the game, but generally speaking, we have controlled all three games from start to finish. Last year, we lost a lot of close games, and at some point, we will need to prove we can win them. While I hope we win easily, it will be interesting to see what happens if the game is close with 2 minutes left and we need to make plays.
  12. Have to admit that I have only seen a few of them, but I liked all six. Band of Brothers was the best. Game of Thrones John Adams. The rest in no particular order. The Pacific Rome Chernobyl
  13. His run vs the Eagles might be the greatest relatively short run that took a minute and a half in Panthers history.
  14. We still run the ball a lot. We are top ten in the league in rushing attempts. Although part of that is probably due to having leads in the fourth qtr and trying to run out the clock, particularly in the Saints game.
  15. Ask me this question at the end of next season. That being said, if we get a coach from college, I would much rather have a coach from a lower tier situation where the talent levels of your opponents are roughly equal, than a coach from a school like Alabama where they have significant talent advantages over their opponents.
  16. Three turnovers (two on the Washington side of the field) had a lot to do with the 43. Even a good defense needs some help from the offense, especially nowadays when the rules are so skewed towards offense. It hasn't been discussed much, but one of the reasons our points total this year looks so good is only 2 offensive turnovers in the first three games.
  17. Cowboy fans are arrogant. And in other news, water is wet.
  18. In terms of getting pressure, this year has been great so far. But its going to get much tougher as we roll along. We will be facing better lines and better qb's. I don't think we will set any records. But we could still end up being very good at getting pressure. As an aside, the most impressive thing has been getting pressure, while still managing to cover the receivers. What remains to be seen is how much the injuries in the secondary will impact us. Hopefully, the impact will be minimal.
